So....based on your experiance, which one do you think is simply more worth it?

I purchased ME3 yesterday. From Ashes came in the package, and the plan was to also grab Leviathan and Omega/Citadel.Since both of them cost 1200 Bioware points (or 12€ here),for the first playthrough I can't afford them both.

My initial option was the Citadel (for the reunion with the entire crew, how can you resist that?),which the general opinion on the internet seems to agree with. However though,I am already familliar with the major plot and storyline in the DLC,including its big twist. (I know....grave mistake to spoil it....)So the question is;Is Omega and its War Assets really worth anything,or should I still stick to the Citadel even if I knew the plot, saw the jokes, references, etc.?
As for Omega, honestly I think I would enjoy the storyline....even if its minor. :P Aria/Omega were definitely one of the favorites back in ME2.
I know for a lot of you,the obvious answer will probably still be the Citadel, although Omega could still be hell of a fun 3-4 hours...

Also,if possible,please avoid spoiling anything. :P

You love Aria/Omega so the DLC could definitely be very enjoyable for you. However, Omega is not re-visitable after it ends. Nothing really lasts from it. With Citadel, you get an entire new hub area with mini-games and quite expansivbe combat simulator (in which you can use ME3 and ME2 squadmates) along with an apartement for Shepard with interactions with the already mentioned ME3/ME2 crew members (including a big party you can throw with everyone invited).

The reason so many people would pick Citadel is that offers much more content than Omega for the same price that stays after you finish the main story, even if the actual main story in Omega is probably much better.

Aria is awesome, but Omega is basically just shooting enemies on repeat. It's more action oriented. It's fun, yeah, but as IsaacShep said, once it's done it's done.

Even if you already know the twist of Citadel, it's still a humorous ride. Some of the dialogue is golden and what's better than having one last go with your squaddies? All the meet ups are also great and a nice way to conclude the series.. something that I will remember fondly more than Omega.

The iffy part is you said you already saw the jokes and references. I'm not sure how much that will diminish it for you. Personally, I see Citadel as something necessary to finish the game with, while Omega is just a side perk. The Silversun Strip is also nice and I wish we had been able to explore that area in the story beforehand.

Which is more worth the 1200 points? Citadel, undoubtedly.....

The thing is though, Citadel really doesn't belong in the story. It's a lot of fanservice, sometimes well done and sometimes not.

The party really was great.
But yeah, really though the fact that you can't return to Omega afterwards does make things feel irrelevant.Citadel just seems better in a long shot.

I have to agree with that to a degree.I won't go as far as to say the story doesn't completely fit,but it does jump off.Thats why I thought that Omega's storyline would be better.
Still however,as M U P P 3 T Z said,the whole tone of the Citadel is a great way to conclude the trilogy,even if the story isn't the best.

Well,I suppose I'll be visiting the Citadel with the crew again......

Citadel.

After the crushing disappointment of the endings, it's good to be able to laugh again.

Tonally, Citadel is far more relevant to ME3 than Omega. Omega, disappointed me initially, largely because it was incredibly limited in terms of gameplay. Personally I didn't think that it added too much, other than a trip back to Omega, that wasn't in the game already, ie. pew pew. Citadel, tonally, was essential, especially if you had certain issues with the end of the game.

Citadel is indubitably worth the money, as already mentioned :D
It's just a great DLC with endless replay value (more or less). Omega is okay too, and you are with Aria the whole time, but don't expect the world.

Citadel: cheesy, character driven

Omega: action, Aria

Plenty of action in Citadel, too, including what's arguably the series' best boss battle.

Haha yesss. The hardest and most frustrating battle I have ever had in Mass Effect.

Give me a few examples of the fan service, because I played it and didn't notice anything.

... I think the Citadel DLC is the bee's knees, but really?

The thing is wall-to-wall fan service.

I really enjoyed the Citadel DLC. If I wasn't laughing with it, I was laughing at it, either way I was laughing. And I think it helped a lot of people come to terms with ME3, the good the bad all of it.

Omega's value comes from if you are an Aria fan and you like the combat in the game. If like me you like neither then it really isn't worth playing, unless you are desperate for War Assets.

Citadel I love because it puts the focus of the series squarely back on the characters, something that ME3 forgot.

I have reloaded ME2 with all the DLC and updates to make a new Saved profile for ME3
Citadel made me laugh and was a good fight. I enjoyed Omega too. I have all the DLC for ME3.
Enjoying life playing Mass Effects and getting away from the world stress.

Because of price, i would say CItadel have the upper hand.

I liked Omega, it's a fun couple of hour shooting gallery in Omega setting; don't expect much exept shooting, then resum your main mission after.

Citadel is a mix of shoot, relax, laught and mini games.

Hell man, I never played the DLC and even I can tell that it's full of fanservice.

I prefer Omega. It fits the story and the mood a lot more and it has a plot in a great and spectacular setting. Plus Omega's ambiance is great.

However I dislike the Citadel, for the very reason so many like it: cheesy, fan-service, out of place, unfitting, silly, tongue-in-cheek etc.., I'd recommend you to buy that, since it has a lot more content. Plus if you are a hardcore fan of the series and in love with the characters, romances etc. and hate the ending and or the mood of ME3, you'd enjoy that a lot more.
What is the most touching moment of the trilogy to the others, to me it's one of the cheesiest and most cringeworthy: I'm talking about the one with the line: "The best!". - So I'm not your man, if you ask about the Citadel dlc. It's not for me.

I really didn't like the ambiance because they told me this was Omega but it looked almost nothing like the Omega in ME2.

The plot I also thought was weak. This was because the DLC did a really poor job in filling in the events proceeding it. It seemed to have assumed that everyone had read the Mass Effect: Invasion comic series. This is especially true of the conflict between Aria and Petrovsky, which makes little sense without the comic back-story.

Citadel perhaps didn't fit but it put the fucus back on the characters, who are after all the reason most fell in love with the series in the first place.

Plus I find it fits a lot better when I head-canon it as post-game content.

Meh. I like both.

Omega, because, well, it's Omega, it ties in with Invasion (which is the only comic I don't have, funnily enough), and because of the soundtrack and an actually good villain.

Citadel, because of all the awesome moments you can have there (besides, even the Normandy crew deserves some shore leave during the war, eh?)
