The Citadel outshines Omega in every category...

Content: Citadel has minigames, new armor, better weapons, new hub, Armax Arena. Omega only gives you two weapons, a few mods and war assets.

Story: Citadel wins this easily. I liked Omega but the story was blah.

Combat: Citadel provides the tougher fights(Cat6 > Cerberus) and the most epic boss fight in ME history. Omega is just a marathon of the same sequences.

Soundtrack: Citadel's soundtrack was mindnumbly awesome! Omega's soundtrack nearly put me to sleep.

Urhm no. And I'm not even talking about the slapstick part of the main missions. The story and its execution is realllllly questionable.

Problem with Omega is that, unless the player is already biased towards Aria (there is no shortage of fans here) then Shepard has very little reason to put aside fighting a Reaper invasion to get involved in a gang war on some remote rock.
Conversely, Citadel is much more believable - Shepard fights CAT because CAT is trying to kill Shepard.

That's your opinion. I thought it was fantastic.

Come on, he goes on Prothean artifact hunts during the game, so he could as well go win over Omega, which is a pretty big asset.

Citadel's story is a bit tongue-in-cheek...but still great, nonetheless :D

The fact that I don't buy the justifications for over half the missions is not a point in favour.

Well, nothing I can do about that. Still a game, remember?

And you're depriving the enemy of a major staging area.

Citadel has way more content and the best boss fight of all ME games.
Omega is for die hard Aria fans or people that like to shoot stuff but do not care much for the squad mates.
People that only played ME3 might as well find Omega more entertaining than Citadel.

Omega for better action. Citadel for better party banter. Its really up to what you like better.
