Revisiting Fereldan

And while I would prefer to not play another game entirely in Fereldan it seems I've heard mention of Fereldan appearing in the game, and I think it would be interesting to see a place we visited in DAO except now rendered in the new Frostbite engine with some exploration. Given the good looking visuals I'd like to see say Redcliff.

But I think it'd be interesting to see anywhere we might have passed, especially if some of our choices change things.

I wish BioWare could keep a more defined style for the settings, despite the fact that, yes, Thedas is huge...

Also Neverra, the Free Marches were on the loading screens for the demo, Kirkwall was kinda hinted at in a joking way by one of the writer's "There will probably be one ring called 'Ring,' though," joked Laidlaw. "This ring was found in Kirkwall!", Tevinter could be an area since they said fate of nations type stuff.

We're doing eastern Orlais and western Ferelden.ArtemisMoons wrote...
I think Denerim is a safe bet as it's the capital city. lol
Denerim is unlikely.
Ferelden is a backwater. That's why it looks less sophisticated/advanced than other areas.Eidel Seaworth wrote...
I'm not sure I'd like to see Ferelden. Both DA2 and Inquisition seems set in places so different from Ferelden, it looks like we travel through time and not just through space. I mean that Ferelden looks like a place set in a Medieval era, while Kirkwall looks a bit like... well, I don't know what it looks like, but Orlais is just too much baroque.
I wish BioWare could keep a more defined style for the settings, despite the fact that, yes, Thedas is huge...
And yes, I agree that a set style would be good. Hopefully, DA:I will be it.

the only DA:O locations i would really want to see are:
Orzammar (with the new engine...and with Kal-Sharok hopefully being present in order to compare both cities ^^)
and:
The Mages Tower...
otherwise, while Fereldan was fun - i don't want to be stuck in a backwater country (i like going to the big/strong ones: Orlais, Tevinter and the Anderfells (and maybe Nevarra))
greetings LAX
ps: "does it smell like wet dog here"?

I would like to visit Ferelden again, though considering how small the country is comparatively speaking, we probably won't be there for very long if we go. However.... it seems there will be the beginning of a new royalty conflict there in the future, considering how neither Alistair or Anora have a very viable hope for producing heirs.....

^A majority of the events will take place in Ferelden so we will be there for a good while also we can travel freely in-between the various zones and regions.
Also the zone that Crestwood is in is bigger than all the maps of DA2 combined and is considered to be small by their standards when compared to the other zones so can you imagine how big they will be.

That's really sad to hear. I just do not like backwaters as a setting for RPGs.
