As to qunari size, I'm thinking Sten might not be the most accurate example of qunari size, given the limits of DAO's graphics.  THe ones in DA2 seemed to hit seven feet or so.  And the Arishok seemed close to ten.

I suspect the visuals for the female kossith is heavily based upon meeting the mostly (not so) latent desires of the mostly straight white male gamer. Thus, while the male kossith are huge, hulking beasts in the comics (and to a lesser extent the games), the females look far less hulking, and more sexually appealing to male viewers/readers. Yes, the male kossith run around shirtless, but there's not much sexual or sensual about the way they're presented; almost every image I've seen of a female kossith/Qunari depicts her as pretty alluring despite the fact that she's probably not.

I'd rather they avoid the dimorphism that seems to be going on in the comics, and make the female kossith tower over the average human male and make sure that her face and build, while feminine (in the sense that she's smaller and less muscular than kossith males, and in keeping with most mammalian creatures), are clearly not human nor immediately "sexy" to most folks at first glance. Let's not pander any more than necessary... It's not needed in a good game.

They have tan/bronze. and light skin as well, and their horns can be pretty damn big.

Last I heard average height worldwide for men was 5'6" for men and 5'2" for women.  It should be lower in Thedas because they're an agrarian pre-industrial society which means poorer nutrition which in turn means smaller humans.

We are only NOW getting back the six or so inches of height we lost due to the endemic nutritional deficiencies of moving to an agrarian society (not to mention chronic health problems like tooth decay).  Thedas is smack dab in the middle of that transition and average human height is probably around 5'4 for men, IF THAT.  So, the Qunari aren't "huge".  They're a bit above the size humans attain when they don't have chronic food shortages and vitamin deficiencies.

And, for all you know, the "Iron Bull" (provided that's him) could be shorter than average.  He's still a brick outhouse, but we haven't yet seen him posed next to anyone smaller for comparison purposes.

Though most Qunari we have seen are soldier. I'm pretty sure they're not all mountain of muscle.

I'm going off of Inquisition concept art, where the females have tiny, fake-looking horns.  
Hopefully horns are customizable to a degree.

I'd encourage anybody who thinks the Qunari are more than seven feet tall to go locate a handy basketball player and stand next to them. I've generally seen that people tend to wildly underestimate just how HUGE 7' tall is. It's ENORMOUS. Look up a picture of Penn and Teller standing next to each other, even. Teller is NOT A SHORT GUY. He's 5'11". Penn is just freakishly enormous. And he's only, like, 6'7".



This is almost exactly what my character in Origins looks like standing next to Sten--the top of her head hits him RIGHT at the collarbone.

you're all wrong. Every Male in Thedas are 5'11 with Athletic body.

If we're talking atheletes, someone like Lebron is a good example of what a qunari could be like. He's not just tall, but he's well-built.

Par Vollen is subtropical if not tropical.  Nobody likes to wear much in those conditions, particularly if they're large and heavily built.  What's amusing is that Sten actually hassled Morrigan a bit for going around half-naked, leading to my theory that a good 75% of everything he said was him screwing with people to entertain himself.

That was DAO.  DA:I concept art that we have seen along with the trailer has indicated that male kossith will now have a more bestial appearance.  Females look like human women with horns.  If they are going to make the males more monstrous, then the females should look similar.
