There's a bit of banter between Zevran and Sten that shows the Tal-Vashoth still use the titles of the Qunari, such as sten, karashok, avaard, etc. and in DA2 the Tal-Vashoth mercenary encountered in Act 1 comes back as Meraas (not sure about the spelling but he explains it means what he wants it to - what he is) in act 3. If the Qunari inquisitor is Tal-Vashoth any name will work since the inquisitor is now defining his or her role.

Good point. I guess a Vashoth/Tal-Vashoth could use Qunlati if he/she wanted to. Whether the name it fits their personality, or for simply for the sake of irony.

Hence a mage who calls himself "Tal'Saar."

"Dangerous? You have no idea." *waves to his soldiers* "Ready, normal people?"

I'm leaning toward Issala, meaning "Dust". Its simple, and its what my femQunari pounds people into. :)

In my mind, her parents were Tal'Vashoth with a słightly nihilistic bent so there.  I find it interesting to play a horned giant that has only heard of the Qun from their disaffected outcast parents.

in all due seriousness, inquisitor actually sort of makes sense. but i'll prolly pick through the qunlat page on the wiki and find something that sounds cooler.

I have no idea

something awesome sounding

I mean qunari are scary, so when I play a female mage qunari people will flee from that alone

a female mage qunari that's leading the inquistion :)

Kordillus.

If we are going to be hanging around Orlais and Fereldan, that name should be well known.

"Inquisitor" as a name for the Qunari PC would only work if he/she starts the game in that role. It doesn't make much sense for a character called Inquisitor to then, by complete coincidence, find themselves leading the Inquisition later on.

I think I've decided on naming my female Qunari "Ash".

Apparently it means "to seek" so it fits the Inquisitor role, it also sounds like it would be a good "normal" name, and it reminds me of Army of Darkness.

Also she's a mage that will specialize in fire magic. It just works on so many levels.

I may just wiki something of the qunari language, or perhaps pick a good name from skyrim or something

It works on precisely 2 levels.

If she was allowed a chainsaw hand and a shotgun, it would be 3. But Bioware will just have to regret that missed opportunity alongside the rest of us.

not sure if this works grammar wise, but i'm leaning towards Ashmeraad, "to seek the tide" or "one who seeks the tide"

mostly for coolness really but i'll think of a story for it

Whatever, the names still awesome.

Can't help but think of your Qunari as a part time surfer now.

Yeah, this is probably the prt I'm most dreading about making a Qunari, I'm not good at naming at the best of times. Maybe use Asala somehow?

Or Maybe Ashtalan/Talanash. One who seeks the truth? Like some of the other names would fit what we know of the story

well they havent told us the origins yet, who knows? maybe he is. if this is a thing where he left the qun like maraas did, i can come up with a reason he'd name himself that :P

Literally means "For those who reach ahead," which I'm choosing to interpret as "For the Inquisition" in context. Because I'm not creative.

Considering what's been said of the Qunari mating ritual by Sten Saarshok seems a good name...since it means dangerous struggle...

And with those names, the true justice of being called "Inquisitor" throughout the game is understood.

Gonna name my first qunari female mage Achren. It's not qunlat, but I always name my main characters that, and it fits well enough. Achren Adaar has a certain ring to it.
