According to an EA rep here: http://answers.ea.co...ed/td-p/1272544, on July 4th, the location of the DLC was shifted from http://na.llnet.biow...agames/bioware/ to http://lvlt.bioware....agames/bioware/ . The problem? No one bothered to update the GAME to point to this new URL, effectively leaving new installs up a creek.
Unfortunately, I can't offer a solution other than "bug Bioware & EA," but I thought that by pointing this out, I could at least save people the time and frustration of trying a million and one other things to no avail (which is what I've been doing since I got up this morning!)
For everyone having DLC issues since July...

Yea; you can still install manually; it's just a matter of the frustration of not being able to do it in-game, as well as having all your contest remaining in the "available" tab with ugly red "failure" warnings. In short, it's a work-around, not a fix.

A couple days ago I did a clean install of DA:O plus Awakening + most of the DLCs. Made sure to patch to 1.05 before installing Awakening or any of the DLC, and I didn't start the game until everything was ready to go.WraithTDK wrote...

Haven't progressed too far yet, but everything shows as being installed correctly. Maybe I just got lucky.
