I feel like it's not so much the scary look of darkspawn is wanted but rather more of the gruesome, appalling acts the darkspawn use to commit and represent is what people want back like the throatcutting and heads on pikes, flesh eating morbidly obese broodmothers, etc. *shudder*

 

I would like to see more grotesque, more disturbing, Darkspawn, and even Broodmothers. Just imagine if they were able to capture a female Werewolf, what kind of Darkspawn would a Werewolf Broodmother churn out? Hell, ide settle for a Qunari Broodmother.

Original Darkspawn looked like something out of Hellraiser

 

I love their depiction in DA:O, but even I have to admit that their design was drawn directly from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings (specifically the battle scenes with Uruk-Hai.)

I'm actually interested in seeing what Qunari broodmothers look like. Not in a Sera kinda way... just curious.
