The topic says it all, what I want is total black and white with no colour at all even on the PC and co. In otherwords to be able to switch off all colour and just have shades of black and white.
I had a look at shadow Mulsantir in MotB and it still has colour but with the settings adjusted but that's not what I'm looking for.
Any ideas ?
Thank you..
Is there a way to make areas in black and white ?

Edot: opened the tooloset up.
You're looking for the Desaturate Color checkbox and the Desaturate Factor (set this to 1 for black and white, 0.x for Mulsantir/Misery Stone type dulled colors). It doesn't reflect in the toolset, but does ingame, so use a test area to get the look you want first.

It doesn't work I've still got all the colours, I checked the box and set it to 1 and it looks the same the only difference was that Brigid Chandler did look a bit ill but she might do anyway. This is on a default environment setting with day night cycle off and always night off so there are no stars or moon do I have to change the lighting too ?
I've got the shadow mulsantir skydome on it too and that didn't change colour at all !

Maybe it's 0 for black and white, and 1 for full color. I've only ever used it once myself.

You're right it is or at least something like that I set it to 0.1 and it's black and white ! Absolutely excellent I am very very happy, no scripts no on entry stuff just ticking a box and putting in a number now that is my kind of solution !
Thank you very much.

Setting the colour saturation level to somewhere in between 0 and 1 can create a nice dreary atmosphere. I used it to create an other-worldy effect in my Baggin's Hollow prefab (I think it had a colour saturation level of around 0.75). It can also be useful for underwater areas, heavily overcast or thickly fogged exteriors, or smokey underground chambers.

I've just gone straight for the big 0 with no colour at all.

Remember also that human night vision is also mostly in black and white (just the rods, the color-sensing cones need bright light to work).
You can also use the diffuse lighting to 'tint' a partially desaturated area - sepia for the flashbacks, other colors for the planes.

For a seriously creepy example of this, look at Misery Stone. That mod had some of the most effective ambience I've ever seen.
