Yea, usually I hold off plans because the Walking dead is coming out, I would try my best to ensure I got nothing planned for that even expect watch the show.  If DA:I is coming out that time, am extending it a week and a half for it.

Okay, I lied two weeks and a half.  I'll most likely yell at the pizza deilevery guy for making me get up to get the food.

I have already warned the husband that I will be taking a week off from work next year after DA:I is realeased.....(so I will be skipping hunting season next year)....and getting myself a hotel room for the week so I'm not interrupted by him or our will be 6-year old.

Unless hunting season aligns with DA:I release, that is......then the kid goes to the grandparents for the week while hubs is out in the woods and then I can stay at home in my pajamas.

*crosses fingers for an october/november release*

well  after Jan my vacation time rolls over so I will have 240 hours again... which would be nice if I could take it all at once could you imagine 240  uniruppted hours of DAI.... but ok reality check... back to what I thought I was going to say.  I plan to take my time off to do nothing but game myself silly. and I am not telling my husband the exacts dates until I take them because I DO NOT want him thinking he is going to ruin my gaming time by wanting to be all lovey dovey.... Yes I know that sounds harsh, and I love the man I really do so I will make it up to him by buying him football tickets and sending him away, or buy him a hooker or something... ( ok I am joking about the hooker part)

That's crazy to me. I would playing right next to yall.. for sure. rotating who refils the drinks, and snackage...

*doubts the hooker thing was a joke*  *remebering a line from a hooker in DA2.. in lowtown.. "Fancy a ride sera"

That would be a really good idea. Hmmmm.

If you can't find a 'gamer girl', make one! To be fair though, I played tabletops back in HS (only 2, Shadowrun and Palladium), but never played video games until meeting my husband, he got me playing BG and CoN on console....and I didn't REALLY get into games until DA:O.

I play more than him now.

Poor him.

That's totally a requirement for me in terms of a partner... MUST LOVE DRAGON AGE. Or Mass Effect. Or video games in general. Male or female, I'm not fussy :P but seriously you're all so lucky to have spouses who are understanding of your addiction, or even better share it! I'm hard pressed just trying to get my friends to play the damn game. "It's amazing!" I keep telling them. "Seriously, one of the best RPGs ever." and still I hear whines and moans of "Oh I need to finish this, this and this first, then I'll get around to it." but they never do... :crying:

I try convenations, they might be a better spot, also more people and less waiting.  If you want a DA fangirl, then I wait till it is announced that we can preorder DA:I, then you'll find them at Gamestop.  Am certain that fans of the series will be there first.  Of cousre I don't thing people will be thinking that when going to preorder DA:I.

Well I'll be seeing you there.

OMG I have my mom addicted to hear me talking about the game when I first started playing I would tell her about the banter etc.. Now keep in mind my mom is in her 70's. So I started sending her clips of the banter from youtube so that she could actually see it and hear it.... Now when I talk to her she asks what me and my friends have been up too... my friends being Morrigan, Alistair etc

Sure I love cookies!!!
One year is soooo long. I remember last year we were here begging for more info, we knew the only playable race was human, there would be no playable origin, and that the game was supposed to be released at the end of 2013. I played both the previous games again and......... here we are again. One more year.
But sharing cookies is going to make it easier <3

That's awesome! Wish my parents were as interested.....

I was told by my parents that I 'need to grow up' because:
1) I like video games 2) like comic books 3) like animated movies

but that my brother....who's a 38 year old PhD going back to school to be a lawyer, never married, and mom and dad are paying his rent....is considered 'grown up' in their eyes.

Same boat, but just with my mum. Dad's totally cool with my gaming. He even games a little too, though he's more of a 'Red Dead Redemption' & FPS man than a fantasy RPG man. You're never too old for any of those things!

I'm going to watch a 3 hour marathon of The Big Bang Theory. If only because I believe in fate.
