RIP Solaire, there will be plenty of jolly co-operation where you are going. The sun. ![]()
Siegmeier will always die, he'll either go hollow because of you and fight his daughter or he'll die trying to help you and retain his honour.

I'm planning on running ng+ after this anyways, and I'll make it a perfect playthrough, with all things playing out the way I want them to. Solaire and Siegmeier will survive (Siegmeier will at least survive the events of Lost Izalith), Priscilla won't be killed, Ciaran will get Artorias's soul (I killed her this playthrough since I wanted her gear), etc.
I'm still undecided on what covenant to join next time, though. I want to join the warriors of the sun covenant, but I'm still lacking 5 faith, and I don't think I'll ever manage to get summoned in this game. having 25 faith fees kinda like a waste, since I'm not a magician.

YOU KILLED PRISCILLA'S FLUFFY TAIL. You are a monster!
Also you should kill Gwyndolin, coz you can.
I did. ![]()
Gonna kill Gwyndolin aswell before I finish the game, just to see what happens.
Solaire...may the Sun embrace you, buddy. ![]()
Onionbro has a questline which is kinda difficult to follow without guides, but no worries, you'll be able to complete it in NG+. You have missed on a titanite slab, though.
Aw, poor Priscilla...if she didn't have that dragon tail nobody would have any reason to kill her. Unless you are a heartless monster and you kill her for her soul. ![]()
As for things to do...have you been in the Great Hollow/Ash lake? If not, go there, you still have an hydra to kill and a friendly dragon to talk to (and cut off his tail, he's so nice he won't get mad). Also, kill the Asylum boss, can't remember if you already have done it.
Do kill Gwyndolin and take a swing to the giant princess as well...you're in for a surprise. ![]()
Note: if you kill Gwyndolin or the princess, the firekeeper in Anor Londo goes hostile and you'll have to kill her. You get her soul in the process, the only downside is that the bonfire she guarded doesn't work anymore, you can teleport there from other bonfires, but you can't teleport from it because you can't even rest in it.
When you are absolutely sure that the only thing you're going to do is to kill the final boss, start killing off merchants as well, like the undead merchant. Also, since you already killed Priscilla and (like every first time player, me included) thus are a MonsterTM, go kill the Fair Lady too and get another Fire Keeper soul. Of course, the bonfire will become useless escept from teleporting to it, and Eingy (the egg burdened guy) will become hostile, so before doing this buy all his pyromancies and stack up on egg vermifuge in case you need them.
It goes without saying that it's better to stack up on everything a merchant sells before killing him/her: arrows, consumables, etc.
Speaking of merchant, temporarily join the Forest Hunter covenant (speak to a giant white cat) so you can unlock an npc, talk to him, go to Blight Town and he'll show up there selling his wares (mostly rare monster weapon drops and katanas): once you've bought everything you need from him (including a ring), kill him and his bodyguard. The ninja bodyguard has one of the best rings in the game, while the merchant drops a nice shield which you might want to try: it's a medium shield, so it doesn't weigh much and you can parry with it, and deflects like a greatshield (meaning that a monster hitting on this shield gets temporarily stunned as if it hit a greatshield, the stamina drain remains that of a medium shield). Also, it looks great, and we are in Fashion Souls, right? ![]()
Oh, and in the area before the last boss, you'll find respawning black knights: farm them for their weapons, but most importantly to stack up on coloured chunks.
If you need titanite slabs (you need one for any +15 weapon/armour), you could try to farm the Darkwraiths in New Londo, but be warned that the drop rate is extremely low even with 10 humanity in the counter + the covetous gold serpent ring (which gives max item discovery).
If I can think of anything else, I'll edit.
Thanks for the tips, the ones I haven't done already I'll do once I get some time over! ![]()
I did go to ash lake and met the everlasting dragon. I even chopped off his tail since we all agreed that dragons -> tail chopping. I was kinda scared before I attacked though, but once I realized he didn't retaliate it got a whole lot easier. I also already killed Gwyndolin and the anor londo fire keeper, and returned to the asylum and killed the boss there. After killing three bosses with the same appearance I'm really starting to hate those guys, especially the firesage demon...
Don't know if I can handle attacking the fair lady, though. Priscilla was one thing, one that I regret, but killing Queelag's sister would just break my heart. No, I can't do that! I already have +5 on my estus flasks anyway, so I'll be okay.
Get Fired Up you aren't a complete monster but you Antaine you are El Diablo. Killing the Fair Lady, it's like killing a bunch of puppies and kittens.
Just by walking away from her in mid-conversation makes her go all "Why, Queelag!? Where did you go!?" and if you then go back she's all "Why did you do that, Queelag?". Killing her would just be, I don't know, something so evil I'm lacking words for it.
Get fired up, don't forget to go to the vendor who sells the bosses' armours, you'll find Gwyndolyn outfit for sale. ![]()
Also, when you have upgraded everything you need, kill the blacksmiths. Vamos drops a nice helmet.

I know, and I'm definitely not proud of it. ![]()
But considering that I already killed a lot of characters I liked to get their drops (either because they went hollow on their own or because of unique item drops like Priscilla), and felt absolutely terrible about it, I decided to go all the way. I've killed the poor girl only once, if it's any consolation.
And the guilt I still feel prompted me to make a character who only uses the Chaos blade, to atone for what I did thorugh the suffering inflicted by the blade. Also, every spare humanity goes to the Lady.
The only way I can kill all the other characters is just because I know that they'll be back in NG+ as if nothing happened. I still feel bad when I hear their last words, though. But, aside from my first character, I've never harmed the Fair Lady again. The memory of doing so still hurts, as it should be.
That's what I love about Dark Souls. With minimal dialogue they develop a connection between the player and character.
I spent about one hour in the abyss just farming humanity, which I promptly gave to the fair lady. Upon reaching rank 3 as a chaos servant she told me it didn't hurt any more. I shed tears of joy.
I've basically done everything in the game now exept for killing manus, kalameet, and that forest hunter vendor. Once I'm done with those I'll rejoin the chaos covenant and kill the final boss. Tomorrow, that is.

Rember to buy everything you may need/want from the vendor before offing him.
Oh, and did you kill Chester? He drops his gear. He has a top hat. Don't underestimate him though, he can be challenging.

If you use the hat you can kill with class.
I did kill Chester, but he was kinda easy imo. The only annoying thing was that he fell down the ledge so I had to run down to get to him, where he had aquired two dogs as personal guards.
The only two problems I've had with merchants was that the female undead, the one in the sewers, didn't die in one hit and ran away from me. I can't attack her anymore and whenever I get close she starts yelling at me, which is really annoying. The other problem I had was that the guy that sells boss armours, who calls you "shimae" all the time fell of the bridge when I killed him, so I didn't get his loot. ![]()

Exactly! It wouldn't be Fashion Souls without a top hat. ![]()

I warned you because if you let him shoot that crossbow he has he can be quite a pain, but yes, if you keep mauling him in melee he's not that much of a problem. I'm of the "better safe than sorry" school. ![]()
Don't worry about the female undead merchant, she only drops 60 souls, but the rant she gives about how useless you are when you attack her is somewhat amusing. As for the other guy, he drops 1000 souls but no items, IIRC. You did buy everything you wanted from him, right?
I wouldn't kill them if I hadn't. ![]()
I'm not saying I buy everything they have, only the stuff I think is worthwile. I didn't buy the Gwyndolin gear, for example, since I don't see myself using it. If I have souls to spare in ng+ I might do it, but right now I'm kinda broke, since I spend all my souls on leveling up. (I'm at 100 now, btw!)

Hey, I just worry about you missing out on stuff you might need. ![]()
Eh, I tend to be a bit OCD when it comes to unique gear, I simply must collect them all. ^^'
The crown of Gwyndolin boosts the damage done by sorceries, if I'm not mistaken, but it's useless if you don't use spells.
Oh, one thing: in NG+ when you meet the bosses' vendor again, he will have the outfit of the final boss for sale, keep that in mind. ![]()
Dark Souls gear, gotta catch them all...
Eh, I tend to be a bit OCD when it comes to unique gear, I simply must collect them all. ^^'
Ah, it's nice to see I'm not the only insane one ![]()
Fortunately most RPGs have finite resources, thus forcing me to choose my gear instead of maniacally collecting everything.

I feel like I'm not being thorough if I don't have every single armour set, weapon and unique item in the game. ![]()
Besides, what if I get tired of my character's look and/or I want to try out a different set? I must have them all. *cue Gollum-like lines*
Of course, the fact that Dark Souls taunts me with an achievement that basically tells me "Go catch 'em all!" doesn't help. ![]()
One of the few times I didn't complete an armour set in a game was in Origins, the Chevalier set was too much of a pain to get, what with all the save/reload/hope for the best loot system.
Of course, the fact that Dark Souls taunts me with an achievement that basically tells me "Go catch 'em all!" doesn't help.
That achievement is pure evil. On my character on the xbox I just need some Bosses weapons and Priscilla's Dagger, as I didn't think that she would die from just a few slashes. Next time I'll try with the tiniest weapon I have.
I have now done everything before starting entering the area beyond the lordvessel...
Except killing that freaking Kalameet! I already got his tail, but he just. Won't. Die!

Yes, that achievement is just frustrating at times...the fact that to unlock it you need to play until NG+++ doesn't help.
Usually if I have to cut off a tail and I see that the boss is dying, I just quit and reload or die on purpose so I can try again.

Equip high magic resistance gear (the gold hemmed set should be useful) and use havel's shield to block; use green blossoms to recover stamina faster, perhaps equip the child mask and even the Chloranty ring if it's needed.
I did it. I beat the game. After having killed Kalameet, Gwyn wasn't really much to boast about, except for the fact that he was incredibly cheesy whatwith those superfast nonstop attacks. At least I got to farm the black knights until I had a few copies of every black knight weapon in the game! ![]()
Now I've started over, already killed the first black knight and Havel, soon to engage the taurus demon boss...
Thanks for all the help and support, I really appreciate it! ![]()
Now for Dark Souls 2? I haven't got it yet. I'm going to go through the unfinished games on my console which includes Shadow of the Colossus.
