Congrats!
Oh, and for the future: Gwyn can be actually parried, but that makes him even easier.
I'll sadly have to wait for dark souls 2, the pc version comes out almost at the end of this month.

Too bad there aren't any same-gender LI. Not many companies are as accepting with stuff like this as Bioware.
But other than that, Bound by flame does look like are pretty cool game and I'll likely get it at some point.

maybe a tad too expensive for a small studio like spiders? After all voicing is the most expensive part....let's hope they add ng+ too which apparently is being considered and this game might have a special place in my heart.Too bad there aren't any same-gender LI. I can't wait for the comparisons to the ME3 endings to start seen as bound by flame will also have three endings...good/idealistic, evil/pragmatic and neutral/a god am I

not exactly, a wallpaper featuring the default MaleVulcan and FemVulcan, concept art can be found on the main site.^ That is a concept art from Bound by Flame? Have to say... pretty disappointing.
I think the artist tried to harken to the old fantasy book cover arts....still Fem-Vulcan is smexy...and for once it makes sense for the sexy chick not to wear armor

Hey, I just worry about you missing out on stuff you might need.
Eh, I tend to be a bit OCD when it comes to unique gear, I simply must collect them all. ^^'
The crown of Gwyndolin boosts the damage done by sorceries, if I'm not mistaken, but it's useless if you don't use spells.
Oh, one thing: in NG+ when you meet the bosses' vendor again, he will have the outfit of the final boss for sale, keep that in mind.
And once again pokemon ruins another generation

Ah ok, it does have that older fantasy style.
But why would it make sense for the girl to wear almost nothing? I'm still at work and I can't access most of the gaming websites.

because the more Vulcan, male or female, submits to the influence of the demon possessing him/her (should you choose to let that happen) the more his magic abilities increase BUT at the same time his/her body becomes so incandescent that armor begins to melt off of him/her rendering it less and less effective. Thus for Evil Vulcan (male or female) makes sense not to wear armorAh ok, it does have that older fantasy style.

female armor does work! what it lacks in protection it makes up for in hesitation... first thought when attacking a chick in guys armor "die" first thought attacking a chick in chick armor "damn thats hot" and bam that instant lapse in thought creates an opening they can exploit therefore adding extra protection in the form of more time to dodge or attack

I see, thanks
It still strikes me as odd to have the fully armored and spiky male next to swimsuite wearing lady.

well Sybil seems to be wearing at least some sensible clothing....leathers and suchWell, that seems to be the case. Maybe the next wallpaper will have the roles reversed, or at least a more neutral female example

Edwen.....not so much

but all companions in general seem well and properly outfitted

I guess that is an evil MaleVulcan....not evil enough to burn through armor tho

Ever since I first found this gem I try to evaluate female gear that I know will fail just to see how many of these the designers managed to cram into one piece of armor. That could make a good drinking game, now that I think about it.
Check out the "rhetorical question" version of this aswell, it's hilarious: http://ozziescribble...O-PDF-438905627

If a lady chooses to wear scanty armor into battle, who are we to criticize her choice? It worked for Miranda.
Cassandra certainly seems geared up to the max and even has that manly haircut going on with a couple scars. There are different kinds of characters and how they dress reflects that.

And yet it's funny how so many female characters designed by men seem to reflect a propensity for risking their literal hide rather than wear anything that covers it.
(also, Miranda is a biotic in the future, where personal protective shields are a thing...as much as I hate the way they literally frame her body parts for maximum titillation, she's not nearly as vulnerable as, say, Isabela or Morrigan or [insert 75% of named female characters in fantasy RPGs])

Meh, sex sells. Jacob wears skin-tight spandex suits as well. I know it's not why most of us here play Bioware games but it's in there and it has a certain appeal and I don't see why Bioware should have to apologize for it in any way. CD Projekt RED is absolutely unapologetic about the blatantly sexualized females in their games and it seems to work for them. Bioware is far more equal-opportunist in it's application of sex appeal.

They should apologize for placing "sexy" over any number of attributes a female character might have, which historically isn't a problem with their male characters (and, sorry, bringing up a single dude in a series that only modeled both genders of their major alien species under duress, and who didn't hesitate to stick female humanoid strippers all over the galaxy, isn't exactly going to sway me). There was also EDI's design, and Ashley William's re-design, both of which were absolutely about the male gaze and taking characters that were perfectly fine as they were and making them "sexier". I get that you think it's awesome, and I agree that BW is way better than most companies (and I'd argue that the DA team is the best of them all for making a conscious effort to be inclusive and mindful of that line where "dudebro appeal" and "objectification" is located), but it's not something that people should just excuse and accept because it perpetuates objectification of women, which then persists in actual life and causes the actual dehumanization of women.
As for The Witcher, I know at least twenty people in my ridiculously small circle of acquaintances who refuse to play The Witcher because of the rampant objectification and I notice that coming up, in a negative way, in almost every single conversation I see about it. So even though the series is doing great, it could be doing better and they could be building a more diverse fanbase for future projects. Alienating women while other companies are starting to realize that women make up a significant portion of gamers could very well bite them in the ass down the road.
