I am extremely relieved that DA:I won't be coming out this fall because this is the semester I'm writing my thesis. If DA:I had come out now I probably wouldn't graduate.

Watch out for that. You might find that the world has been taken over by super intelligent talking sea otters.

I'm itching to get this game.

However, I am willing to wait as long as it takes for BW to make a good/great/awesome game.

ACTUALLY, I played through Gone Home today while avoiding writing. It was perfect, just a completely delightful, thoughtful, wonderful game and a great thing to play while you're waiting for more DA:I info. Or, you know, if you just like games. Seriously, it's worth your time.

My favorite thing so far is the companion interaction. I don't think you get anything like that from any other game. Well, other than Mass Effect, but it's still Bioware.

Agreed. Bioware is amazing at this. :D

I should really try that game. My husband bought it and installed it for me (on my laptop, at my request) while I was in the hospital having our son, but between the pain and the medication, I never got around to actually trying it.

And honestly, it sounds like a better use of time than obsessively scouring the BSN and other sites for the teeniest new bit of information about Inquisition I can find.

I am a grown woman, damn it. With a family, and responsibilities, and I WILL keep the fangirl squeeing to a minimum. No matter how amazing Inquisition looks.

I feel like I've been repeating this a lot lately.

Obviously we're going to need more cookies.

CF will get right on baking those  :D

I think my favorite DAO moment was probably the first time I played through and I saved Redcliffe.  I felt so awesome after that!  *flex*

Welp. I just got SR4 so that ought to tide me over till at least DV2's remake and that should at least tide me over till Burial at Sea is released. Then I still need to play the Glenmoril Witches. And then Scott Lynch's book will have been released and THAT NEEDS TO BE READ. And then I think it'll be exam time.

So yeah. I'm good for at least a while. :P

I don't mind waiting. There are going to be some serious mind blowing games coming out in the next year or so to pass the time. Such as Watch Dog, Ryse: Son of Rome, Mad Max and The Evil Within. Plenty of games to pass the time with.

Besides, I NEED to do another complete play through of the Mass Effect series and the Force Unleashed series. If I don't get my Shepard and Starkiller fix, then I go into convulsions.

Haha! On the flipside I just finished my gradschool thesis and graduated and before the new release date was announced I was all like awwww yiss roll on Fall 2013 - finished school, DA:I is out, what a nice reward!

Anyway it's good to see that I am not alone in my feelings. I'm glad they are taking the extra development time and have no complaints about that - but I'm so excited for the game and I just want to crawl into a cryogenic tube or something sdfsjrthyyh....

Since the year long wait gives people more options to roleplay the way they want to, I'm glad that it happened, but yes, the wait will be a painful one.

On topic: the wait is going to kill me haha. This is my last year at uni so I have no idea if I'll be able to afford the game next year, or even if I'll have time to play it.

As far as passing time goes, i have a save in XCOM EU thats been going for 6 months, and the expansion could keep me going for 6 more, and then there's also eradicating barbarians in Rome 2
