It's the old culture of the horned gigants, before the Qun

Kinda like pre-islamic Arabia

Huh, I heard it was the name of the actual race, now that I look it up I see that you're right. I feel a bit silly now.

"My only issue with it has ever been" doesn't sound to me as someone annoyed or giving up.

In the one you linked he also says "Of course, when I bring this up I get a round of “ohhh, Gaider’s upset again.” I’m not upset in the slightest."

Edit: seems to me it doesn't bother him, he just makes some clarifications on how the canon works. But people say he is upset because... I don't know, they like to think he is some angry writer?

Sigh angry and annoyed are 2 different things entirely, also you seem to like to selective quote things that fits the point that you are trying to prove especially when you do not take both articles into context because he says many things take make it seem like he's annoyed and posting them would be pointless since I've used his and Mary Kirby quotes so many times but it seems to be useless.

Devs don't use it, writers do use it, the Qunari don't use or recognize it and it's not in their language at all, and they haven't been the Kossith culture for over 320 years so I'm confused why people use it.

I'n not sure I should even answer to the "selective quoting" thing. If he says he isn't upset I takehis word, if some people read the rest and it sounds aangry to them... well I don't know why, honestly. Someone always seems to think he's angry for some reason, I never got that  impression.

Maybe he should use more emoticons, I've noticed that BSN people seem to think I'm upset when I forget to use emoticons.

Back on topic. Just because it isn't used in the game doesn't mean we here in the forums can't use it to understand each other. Several times in this thread is mentioned how some of us usedkossith because we thought it made things easier even if it isn't "correct" (because there isnt any correct name for the race).

I've also stated several times through this thread that, realizing that kossith isn't as well understood as I thought I sopped using it to refer to the race and since then I've been using some of the alternatives presented in this thread.

And BTW mikeymoonshine and I also discussed (in page 7, in case you are curious), how glad we are the canon is the way it is in that regard and how much we enjoied this debate. That is because:

This thread was going great, and we were even reaching agreements! In the Internet!!! And now a bunch of new people appeared claiming to have definitive answers without even bothering to read the previous posts to know what the discussion was about.

Modern Qunari do not have a term for their race for the same reason that nobody in Thedas has a name for their planet. As far as they are concerned, the world consists of people and things-that-aren't-people. All other distinctions are unimportant.

Unless qunari have fundamentally alien minds, I find this a little hard to believe. Indoctrination into the Qun or no, people do make these distinctions, especially if it's as exaggerated a concept of race as "this race is twice as big and has horns." People can pretend they don't, but they're specifically making an effort to shut off the part of their brain that would do it by default, I think.

Other Thedosians do not draw distinctions between Those Tall Guys Who
Sometimes Have Horns Who Follow the Qun and The Other Tall Guys who
Sometimes Have Horns Who Don't. They are all, "Qunari" to the humans,
elves, and dwarves.

Still, for those of us who aren't aliens, I guess this is why "qunari" is still the most applicable word to use for their race, than some made-up word like oxmen or antiquated/inaccurate term like kossith.

Okay, how about we just call the horned race Tal-Qunari.

That's how religions and cultures ussually work. And with surpringly strong results I might add.
