Right about now is when you concede to the sheer stupidity of the word(s) hispanic/latino.
If his family is from Valencia then he is a first-generation descendant. He doesn't ****ing qualify to be a latino/hispanic individual. To qualify for Latino/Hispanic title you have to be from the southern hemisphere of the Americas, and have some sort of connection/relation/descendancy to Spain. Descendancy would usually mean colonizors from spain within the Carribean or South/Central Americas, and it's been many many generations since their move from Spain. Latino encompasses all races within Latin America, including Whites, Blacks, and Native Americans.
Your friend a spaniard, SPANIARD. Say it with me now, SPANIARD.
Whatever, it's a ****ing blanket term for the southern hemisphere of the americas. Deal with it.

Yes, calling someone a ****** is an obvious sign of one's hispanic heritage. Next everyone will describe their fondness for cheese and big hats...

See? This is what happens when you make a thread about race.
Latino has nothing to do with race, a latino can be white, black, native american, asian, pacific islander, etc. It doesn't matter what race they are.

ROFLMAO. Southern hemisphere?? The southern hemisphere starts right about at freaking northern Brazil, cutting out about 90% of the countries colonized by spain.
Good lord, latino wanna-be, you are clueless.

Exactly. Those terms have a lot of baggage. Most people use those words in a racial sense, so, even if you clarify otherwise, be prepared for contention over a "Latino" thread.DeathCultArm wrote...
