All games from Mass Effect series have been re-dubbed to my language (italian) and in that case I can't deny they did a good job.

DAO and DA2 haven't... but I love Morrigan's, Leliana's, Alistair's, Zevran's and Varric's ORIGINAL voice actors so very  much... I really hope you WON'T change a thing...

I know you are putting so much efforts and new features into this game that probably you're not even worrying about this secondary stuff at present... but I'm telling you just in case!

Image IPBI love you BioWareImage IPB

Thanks for reading!

I agree. I have the luck that BioWare games aren't dubbed in Spanish, but still from other games I've deducted that localized voiceovers shoud be optional (like in Human Revolution).

Well, DAII and ME3 both had the original english voices available even with the localized version. You had to download it for ME3, but I'm optimistic they will keep this practice. Otherwise I'll have to import a UK version. I like hearing the german version in the first playthrough, so I can never have any fundamental misunderstanding the first time around though, so a version with both languages would be preferable.

Couldnt you just buy the english version if a localized version is available? Just curious, its not a criticism.

I really hope that they will give use an English dialoge pack ala ME3, not that the other VA's doing a bad job, but I'd still love to hear it in English.

Yes, I probably could, but I won't be able to do it in a common store or Gamestop... should search for it on-line.

In the good old days it wasn't available in stores but you could get it through amazon. Now with the whole cloud crap, I haven't tried but, possibly it'lldetect where you are and default (force) for the localized version. Again, I haven't tried that.

Also, I don't need the subtitles in my language but many people probably do.

As you can see my english isn't that bad... but I still need subtitles cause, of course, I understand like 90% of spoken conversations without them, but sometimes you find very deep subjects or lore or very speficic terms and could miss that 10% left...

Agreed. I remember how russian localization of DA:O was hilariously bad.

wait, are you asking for them not to make a version in your language?

That's what I would ask for lol. But no, the OP is asking that the version in his language contains the original voices, with the rest of it: texts translated to... Italian was it?

Since Italy uses pal you have the choice to buy the game in the UK amazon, and have it shipped to Italy.

I second this. I am hoping to buy the digital version with the choice of language to include English, or be English-only, as I never play dubbed versions but live in an non-English speaking country - as many others do these days. Please ship physical copies with English and offer an English download for digital copies regardless of location. Thank you.

I usually like the german voices, especially in Kingdom Hearts.
Besides, it's sometimes funny to recognize familiar voices when meeting new characters.
For example, Orochimaru was Shepard's voice in ME2 and 3, Kakashi spoke DA:O Alistair, Liara was Morrigan, Kevin James' usual voice was Duncan...
Just to name a few ^^

Oh yeah, most important:
90's animated tv series Batman spoke Admiral Hacket in ME3. THAT was really awesome.

My constant complain. Voiceovers are in most cases bad in polish. I HATE 'em with a passion! I had to jump hoops and loops to play EN version of ME2&3. PIssed my off really badly.

With all the region ****ing-locks and **** even if we buy from Origin and tick ENGLISH version chances are the download will be forced...in polish with no option to choose from.
It happened to me last week when I was buyin' Crysis3 for laughable sum (but still). Had to go through support to add new game code/id to have it in english. It was done really quickly I must admit - first time EVER my native support for a big piblisher did its job painless and quick. I was satisfied.

But the thing is WE SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO PLAY IN A LANGUAGE WE CHOOSE... period.

I have the questionable luck of getting german dub with every.single.game.
And I really REALLY hate it.

Germans can't do emotions. Period.
So I always have to either import my games or pray to god that they added an option to have english voices. (Which would be less annoying if they just wrote it on the damn case.)

I hope that I'll be able to pre-order an english version and have it arrive on the day it releases...pfft yeah right. :crying:

Also, I'm not sure if there would be any options to have Italian or other language subtitles in an English-dubbed copy (although I could be wrong).

On Xbox the subtitle is based on a language option (there are two, don't remember which). I could play DAO with the english subtitle with a version of DAO bought in Italy.

ME 1 2 and 3 French dubbing was very good
DA:O French dubbing was very good

I laughed/cried so much when hearing the french version of DAII in the demo that I pre-ordered from the UK

Agree 100% with You as I had to speak with support to get ME3 in english (as I bought it) and not forced to have polish
version.

Nope. At least not in my country. M3 is the first Bioware's game allowing original version and you have to download it first as a DLC. 2.0 go on my xbox =)

Yes, that would be fine to me. But for example, Mass Effect's original voices AREN'T available in the italian regular version.
