wait, are you asking for them not to make a version in your language?

That's what I would ask for lol.

I'm with you there...
I think I'll be having nightmares about getting a dubbed version forced down my throat now... :pinched:

I also absolutely hate localized games as they loose their atmosphere and mood. That's why I would also like to ask devs to allow us to choose the language we want or allow us to buy it in the language we want.

OP, how can you say that the italian version of ME was good? The first things I noticed when I tried ME2 in italian were bad acting and voices not even remotely similar to the original. I also spotted translation errors. Never again. The other games I downloaded in english only. I think you can have the localized subtitles and original audio with a little tinkering, I remember getting that result when I deleted the italian files.

And how come you playied the italian version?

However Shepard's Italian dubber from ME1, Claudio Moneta had an acciden in the same period he was recording for ME2 and he was replaced by Giacomo Zito... he had to redub the lines quickly, I admit SOME of them aren't so good, especially in the first part of the game (Lazarus Project)... but also they arent' THAT bad... yes there are a couple of mistakes here and there but nothing so seriuos... and this happens in ME2 only, cause ME1 and ME3 are just perfect, at least compared to other italian dubbing in general...

Besides no voiceover ever, no matther which language it is, can be compared to the original, this is well known.

There's a very obvious reason for that...

I don't know about Moneta since I only play femshep. The problem with italian dubs in general is that it's too obvious they are reciting and they use the same intonation. I prefer to listen to the original voices because they are more distinctive as well. I remember Tali sounding good, though.

I listened to some snippet from ME3 (I think it was about Aethyta with Liara) and I was glad I installed the original version, Claudia Black can't be beaten.
But hey, I'm a language student so I know I'm a bit particular about these things. I suppose many problems stem from not having the context clear when they translate and record.

I agree. I didn't say italian voiceover in ME series is better than the original. I said I found it quite good.
In fact I'm asking DA:I to be kept with original voices.

I support being able to choose the language we want to play in, the language of the voice-overs in particular.

I could play the English version in all DA games as well as in ME2 and ME3, most of the time because I had the CEs which were multi-language, or because there was one unified multilanguage EU version. It's never been a problem for me since ME2, but I can only repeat that it remains hugely important for me. The loss of that feature would be critical to my enjoyment of the games.

I have the questionable luck of getting german dub with every.single.game.
And I really REALLY hate it.

Germans can't do emotions. Period.
So I always have to either import my games or pray to god that they added an option to have english voices. (Which would be less annoying if they just wrote it on the damn case.)

I hope that I'll be able to pre-order an english version and have it arrive on the day it releases...pfft yeah right. :crying:

^this^ I am not german  but I do live in Germany cause of my husbands work, and me not really understanding the language at all its hard for me to play a game  in a language that im not familiar with, it kinda sux cause if I want to buy a digital copy of the game I have to connect through  a VPN to get the UK version of it and my VPN doesn't always work all that well not to mention I have to pay in pounds

No I want my French version. In Belgium, you can buy a English, Engish subtitle Deutch, German and French. If you want an original version you can buy it, if you want a French version you can also.
In DAO, I like the voice actors like Eric Legrand ( the guard in Denerin), Morigane ( Déborah Perret). Serge Bourrier (1st Enchanter Irving), Benoit Allemane ( Duncan) José Luccioni ( Oghren)(this actor is the official voice for Al Pacino) Leilana ( Laura Blanc) Alistair( Sébastien Desjours) ..... are great voice actors.
In DA2 , I like the voice of Benoit Du Pac ( Carver) Isabella ( Gaêlle Savary) Varric ( Olivier Marina) Mérédith ( Catherine Cerda). Hawke (Gilduin Tisser)

The difference between DAO and DA2 is the voice actors of DAO are known than DA2 at this time.
But Benoit Du Pac has now a skill voice actors.

No I want a French version

I live in Germany and have played every Bioware game since ME1 in 2007 with the original english VO. ME1 and ME3 I bought in a store and then simply installed them in english, ME2, DAO and DA2 I have on Steam, which is set to english, so the games automatically install with the eglish VO. SWtOR is on Origin, which I have also set to english.

It's not that difficult to play Bioware games in english.

Couldnt you just buy the english version if a localized version is available? Just curious, its not a criticism.

No. On Origin ME3 was only available to me in Russian version (thanx the Maker, good people shared Int language pack with English subs and UI, and they did not change VO).

I also had a long chat with origin support before they agreed to change my russian-only DAA for the English one. A friend of mine was from Poland, but he chanced to be in Russia, and he was bound to Russian copy of ME3.

So, no, in some cases English copies are not even available. Which is worse - Origin defines your location by current IP. You could always use some sort of proxifier or anonymizer, of course, but that's not entirely legal ( I think).
