Okay so we can choose Qunari as a race in DAI.  Awesome.  Fantastic.  You have my preorder.  Which you already had before but whatever.  Anyway, please do this right.  If I can choose a Qunari but my dialogue is the same as if I was a human or elf this will be a travesty.  It will only feel right if I'm also given the ability to follow the Qun if I choose to do so.

Why won't I give money or help to the family that desperately needs it? It's not my role.  Why was I in Orlais to begin with? The Arishok asked a question.  Why do I immediately hunt down and kill every mage I see? Because the Qun demands it.  I understand that it's probably too much to ask for the world to react to this choice and the hardline attitude.  But just from a roleplaying standpoint if Qunari is an option than making the Qun an integral part of our life should come along with that.  We should also have the ability to delve deeper into the religion and find out more about what it entails. Otherwise it seems like this addition would just be cosmetic.  A very cool cosmetic addition to be sure but not all it could be.  Just my two cents.  Really looking forward to the game regardless guys.  Keep up the good work.

P.S. Apologies if 40 threads about this exact topic have already been made.  I did a quick search and didn't see any.

They wouldn't have to redo anything or change anything storywise.

I think you're understating this point....

Again I'm not asking for the gameworld to react ot my choice of following the Qun. And I'm not asking for other people's ability to roleplay qunari the same ways as elves and dwarves to be taken away. What I'm asking for is the ADDITION of us having the ability IF WE CHOOSE to do so to follow the Qun. That is strictly about adding in dialogue. No cutscenes, no story changes, no additional actions. Strictly dialogue and VO work. Which is definitely work and money in and of itself. But it's not on the scale of what you're talking about.

Can you create a hypothetical example for how this would work.... You're saying that you want a game where you can speak as though you support the Qun, but not have it alter people's reactions or have any sort of difference in the actual campaign.

What I have imagined in my head, based on your criteria, is a game experience that doesn't really make any sense.

Mages are brought before a Qunari to be setenced. The executioner asks what is to be done with them. The Qunari says the Qun demands that they be executed. Some people in your keep/party agree with your decision and some don't.

I can understand this example. Lets try something of a bit bigger scope:

How would you deal with the Landsmeet as a Qunari character?

I assume I can skip the Ser Cautherin section as she can easily be slain if she can’t be persuaded without any serious repercussion to the landsmeet. Also let’s keep in mind I said no additional dialogue or cinematic’s need to be added. So therefore neither Loghains nor the nobles dialogue should actually change.

Is that a safe assumption?

In any case, does it actually make sense for the dialogue to be unchanged?

Qunari, in my opinion, are quite a bit different than Elves, Dwarves, or Humans.

Second of all, it doesn't sound like a trivial amount of writing done, even if we could isolate it to just the PC.
