Everyone is somebody's child - so you'll get lots of kids. :wizard:

Dalish Elf origin had plenty of little kids running around.

That's because elves are too attractive to not sleep with them...

I'm tired of f*cking children.... they were very creepy in Origins, but since Mass Effect 3 I just hate those bastards

If we get railroaded to obsess over a child throughout DA:I, I'll pop a kidney.

There should be children who look and sound like children, no DA2 skinny/slightly shorter adults with falsetto adult voices, no SWtOR style shrunken adults with giant creepy eyes.

Yeah the creepy adult-trying-too-hard fake!kid voice is a trend that's always been immensely immersion breaking for me.

I feel like the Architect would have seriously rethought the previous strategy after how it turned out. They don't really seem to grow into appropriate adults.

But perhaps regular larval Darkspawn could be a foe to fight. To be honest they weren't an interesting enemy, they just provided a narrative element for a plotline that's not really dealing with here.

Ooh, but to combine that, maybe demons have children. And we can fight those.

There's been elf kids. There was one in the robbed family when you first came to lothering.

I'm not saying the PC having kids, I mean kids in general tend to be put in towns/cities as background and they look pretty creepy when they all look the same.

I just want them to look less creepy.

Did it use a different model than the human children?

You aren't by chance referring to "Cricket" the boy from that DA2 quest?

Man, I laughed so hard the first time I heard that kid. I don't think it was supposed to be that funny, but it was.

This is wrong. The first child i remember meeting in DA:O was an elf, right when you come to lothering.

I wouldn't mind kids around Dragon Age: Inquisition as long as they are varied, unlike Skyrim which reused the same face skins for all of them. So please, if you're going to add children in this game, have them made differently and vary in styles and personality. Wouldn't mind a teenager companion that doesn't actually participate in battles or anything, but you would need to escort sometimes like Clementine from The Walking Dead or Elly from The Last of Us. Though, Elly could use a gun or a knife to defend herself. Anyways, I wouldn't mind a young companion like that as long as their personality and their missions are linked to the Inquisitor's journey.

I think the other poster was talking about Dragon Age II which only had human children for most of the game, though you did save an elf girl from some freak for a mission. That girl was also recruited by Aveline in the guards by the start of Act III.

Probably because he never actually paid attention to DA2 and only played human origin for Dragon Age Origins? I dunno.

Even though people from the rating system banned this, it would add some perspective to role playing an evil character. I don't really see myself playing an evil character that harms innocents, but I can understand why some people wanted to do that in video games.
