She does in the comics which follows the "default" canon.

Where? Yavana never mentions anything that I can remember and Morrigan herself doesn't appear.

Time in the fade is not linear thus it is entirely possible that Morrigan who entered the Fade physically found an exit point at an earlier point in history during an earlier Blight and performed the ritual there, it doesn't matter if you do the ritual or not as Morrigan still has a child no matter what, so if the child isn't the Warden's, Alistair's or Loghain's then who's is it?

That's not true. If you don't romance her or do the ritual, the epilogue mentions her being seen at court in Orlais, with no mention of being with child.

She never brings up any child in Witch Hunt either, but rather expresses regret that you refused her.

Plus Mike Laidlaw was quite clear on the fact that if you didn't do the dark ritual the child does not exist.

The Warden's/Alistair's/Loghain's child sure but he doesn't state that Morrigan doesn't have a child at all.

Oh and I should probably clarify that I was joking when I said it would be sandal. I think it will have something to do with Tervinter but I think the villian will be a new one.

Corypheus has everything to do with tevinter though ;). Hes a Tevinter magister as you know. A supreemly powerfull one, thats half darkspwan, caused the darspawn to come because he went ****in about in the fade. And he had help from dragons (dragon coming out of the tear!).

He's one of the original Magisters that breached the Veil, entered the Black City, and brought the Blight to Thedas. That doesn't sound mundane.

The Reapers and the Archdemon were both not 'new guys with new ideas.' If you just mean someone who sparks a new conflict, Corypheus can do it.

We already know what Corpheus is about. Inquisition being a follow up to a DLC just seems so mundane.

I think there is still more to discover from Corypheus, whether he is the big bad or not.

I personally keep my expectations low, but I guess it will have something to do with the Red Lyrium and the demons lurking in the Deep Roads in Dragon Age II.

It's mundane in the context that we've been there, dealt with that guy once already.

The Reapers were part of an overarching story. Dragon Age so far has avoided one arch to rule them all. And neither the Archdemon nor Reapers were introduced in a DLC. If the true bad guy behind ME3 turned out to be David Archer, that would have been a little disappointing.

Well Red lyrium might be interessting, maybe thats whats requiered to reach the black city? Since neither normal Lyrium or blood magic can get you there according to the lore/story. Would be so bloody awesome if you got to go there, maybe to close upp the tear in the veil or something.

Yes but that would be a crappy workaround and he said they weren't doing that. I think several have said this No dark ritual = no old god baby.

So yeah sure Morrigan could have some other kid but it won't be an old god child and I doubt she will have any kid at all coz that would ****** off fans.

I think it might be somebody with the soul of an old god from one of the previous blights. Flemeth knew of the ritual after all, so it could have been performed before. Assuming that Flemeth isn't one herself after all. I always wondered if that was her origin.

All we really know about them is that they are probably male, as one of the cultist mages in the demo was saying "He will reign". They would have to be pretty damn powerful to tear that hole in the veil, unless they simply caused such a massacre that the veil split itself.

But the warden/Loghain/Alistair very clearly died when the archdemon was slain, so if she does have a child they wouldn't have the soul of an old god.

Look you may be right I just personally feel like that all seems a bit obvious.

None of the theories seem quite right to me the ones about dragon cults and dragon blood seem like they may be onto something but even those theories are still missing something.

They're probably not male at all. They could be female, but cultists are simply misinformed. You never know with writers, they can make twists happen once in a while.

I think Corypheus is behind the shady goings on at the Wardens, but not necessarily behind the Veil breach. Then again, what else could possibly be behind it? What else would stand to gain from demons pouring into the world, and what else could even have the power to do that?

We can infer from Jowan's theories of what may have happened at Redcliffe, that a rip in the Veil can accidentally be caused by a mage who isn't in full control of their abilities. And in Redemption, a Saarebas was (almost) able to open the Veil with blood magic. So combining the knowledge that it would likely have a magical influence, and the need for a motivation does point to the Tevinters, either in the form of dragon cultists, or good ol' Corypheus. Of course, there is someone else who could be motivated to do such a thing as well as be "stupid" enough to want to do it. Vengeance, either in Anders' living vessel, his corpse or a new host.

Well corypheus was the leader of a dragon cult, to the original archdemon and all. So if dragon cults are involved it makes even more sence that cory is the bad guy. Offcourse i can't be certain either, and its  speculation offcourse. But everything given so far fits, and hes the only sure thing from previous games that has the potential power to do **** like that. And it would be kinda cool to predict it offcourse, which is why i shared me theory ;D

Corypheus possessing your Warden's body (if alive) and Vengeance on Hakwe's body as the main antagonists. It'd be epic (well, at least it would seeing the BSN implode at the news).

Who said the child would have the soul of the Archdemon that died in Origins if the warden/Loghain/Alistair dies? There were a few Archdemons that died in the past and when you have a portal to the past what is to stop you from taking their soul?

Because the Warden who did the killing would then not die, and history would change. Unless we're using LOST rules, and then Morrigan would inevitably fail each and every attempt.

Besides that, time travel has never been demonstrated in Dragon Age.

Niether had resurrection but if the plot calls for a dead character to return then that doesn't stop the writers from using it.

Bioware didn't return Leliana from the dead. They retconnetted her death, by saying that she never died. How, they say that it'd be explained in the future.

Anders didn't die in-game, but in an epilogue slide. You never saw Anders dead in DAA.
But they still explained his possible death in DAA. If  Nathaniel is alive, you'll get a mission (DA2's third act) when he could meet Anders, and ask how could he be alive, since they saw the 'body' (a burnt body of something similar was mentioned in the epilogue of DAA). Anders explained that he faked his death (by using a corpse to let people believe that the corpse was him) to escape.

I think its a tevinter magistar who has been tainted as a result of originally entering the golden city, and now he is trying to find a way to rectify that situation by tearing the veil. - whether he thinks he is doing a service, or its selfish, we don't know.

Of course, if the ritual isn't performed the OGB cant exist, but even if your warden didn't perform the Dark Ritual then how do you know somebody else didn't?

You seem to be forgetting the most important question, how exactly does Morrigan know of the ritual if nobody has ever performed it?
