Just a thaught i had conserning the bad guy in this game.

Why do we need a "bad guy" in a storyline of the world crumbling apart and natural disasters ravaging everything?

Well the gameinformer coverage reveals there is someone behind it all.

Corypheus escaped and the Old God Dumat is implied to still be alive in some form or another. Considering that, I would be disappointed if it didn't at least factor into the main story in a significant way.

Ok.
Differences of opinion on one boss or not.
If one boss it's probably Dumat.

Dumat with Cory as a henchman seems acceptable as a prime mover.

Dumat was killed by a Grey Warden in the first Blight, so that isn't going to happen.

You know in DA2 when they were talking about "dreamers" and how dangerous it would be if one of them was ever possessed by an abomination? I just did that mission and I'm sorta speculating it could be something like that. Ooo what if the OGB is the one who got possessed in playthroughs where he exists? Drama

No an archdemon was killed in the blight. Now this maybe a crackpot theory but what if when the grey wardens killed they in a way actually purified, kind of like the dark ritual because it's been proven that the soul of an archdemon may not die after being killed by a grey warden.

The souls of both the archdemon and the Grey Warden who strucks the final blow get destroyed when the final blow is struck (or at least that is what Riordan claimed), unless the dark ritual is performed of course, but as far is I know the Grey Warden who slew Dumat died while doing so, so Dumat is dead, and even if somebody did perform the dark ritual back then, over a thousand years has passed since then, so if Dumat was to make a move against Thedas, it would have happened long ago.

The only Old Gods who remain are Razikale (the Dragon of Mystery) and Lusacan (the Dragon of Night), but somehow I doubt that BioWare will make an archdemon the main antagonist again so soon...
