Corypheus expected the city to be gold. Everyone can see the Black City from anywhere in the Fade, there would have to be a reason he thought it was golden. I believe there are also records of what the Imperium thought the Golden City was in ancient times. Or at least David Gaider once explained it was ascribed to some absent creator. Plus, the Dalish seem to think it was also the home of their gods. A Golden City probably seemed more like the home of the Creators than a Black City.

I'm inclined to agree with you, which is a shame IMO. Hawke's story is mostly about her/him getting involved in situations that are too far gone to be retrievable followed by kicking enough ass to make sure a tragedy doesn't tuen into a disaster. Legacy - despite being easily described as such - was the right story to have been her/his big triumph. And it's not like the other Magisters wouldn't be available to play a role in Inquistion. In Exile wrote...
It is super blatant that Corypheus is not dead. I can't believe people didn't catch the blatant, blatant foreshadowing.

What role do you think he will play in DAI with the Wardens? He's obviously possessed Larius or Janeka. And the scripting of Legacy hints that "everything catches up with us sooner or later"

I suppose he possessed Larius for my run, since apostate Hawke sided against Janeka when he discovered that she was working alongside the insane carta dwarves who were clearly thralls to the slumbering Corypheus. I don't know whether he will even have access to his powers in a mundane body that is dealing with the taint, and it doesn't seem as though Larius or Janeka returned to the Wardens, based on what we know from the closing scenes with Varric and Cassandra. I'm sure that Corypheus has his own agenda.
Having a Dalish protagonist oppose and kill one of the original Magisters will be... interesting.

I'm wondering if Legacy wasn't written when Hawke was still being considered as the protagonist for the third game. Would make sense; DA2 is about Hawke's mistakes and failures, 3 would have been about Hawke correcting those mistakes.

I feel it's almost guaranteed.
I expect we'll see tha Architect, other Tevinter magespawns, and at least one OLD GOD.
No not OGB, but one of the others, perhaps Dumat.

Um Hawke was never going to be in DAI, there was an expansion planned but by EA that would have brought closure to hawkes story if that's what you mean.Former_Fiend wrote...

I think he is going to definitely play a role. I think he might have something to do with the tears. I am in the camp of people who believe he jumped bodies at the end of Legacy. He's out there

I have a suspicion he will be present in some form or another at least in a minor role or cameo in DA:I.
