MGS2 was a great game and managed not to simply continue as a direct sequel with a straightforward plot like the first game. Playing through it again gives a better idea behind the game's message 'memes defining human nature; rise of the digital information age' and its postmodern nature. MGS4 was the final nail in the coffin with its handwaving exposition, Vamp's return, Raiden being a ninja etc. I felt it ruined the point of Sons of Liberty. Snake Eater will always be the best - I felt that while Peace Walker was fun, it should have ended with MGS4 before Kojima would retcon more stuff, and streamline the gameplay further. This is what I feel is happening now. At least Snake got an ending in MGS4.

There have been girls wearing LESS than Quiet in these games before.
That line Kiefer says in the trailer makes BB sound tired if anything else, which at this point makes sense.
The marking mechanic works nothing like Convictions, it's just a replacement for the radar.

As a huge fan of this series, let me say this, "mr. mad about nothing" STFU! Let Kojima do his thing, and play a ****ing Metal Gear game if your going to get this worked up over a series YOU DON'T ****ING PLAY!

The overall storyline of the MGS games jumped the shark in MGS2. MGS3 managed to have a pretty engaging storyline without being too absurd but that was not to last.

I do understand where you're coming from though. MGS is... MGS. For all its faults and frivolities, it wouldn't be the same without them.

I liked MGS3, but when they threw Raiden on me it basically killed the franchise for me. I didn't like getting trolled by Kojima, and I haven't really been able to get back into it. Maybe MSG5 will be a change.

Neither am I. There are half-naked men in video games like Kratos and nobody complains about that. I don't see why everyone is ****ing about half-naked video game women.

People do complain, they just only ever complain when someone brings up the issue of how female characters look as their go-to 'gotcha' for the entire argument.

In all my years of gaming, I've only seen one instance of someone complaining about this. It was in a gaming magazine from decades ago, and it had to do with an obscure shooter from Japan called Cho Aniki . In fact, this was the screenshot in the magazine, if I remember right.


As for this whole Quiet business, I honestly don't care. Is it a bit silly? Yes, but I'm not offended by it. Maybe it's all these years of encountering characters like RE: Revelations' Jessica Sherawat(whose outfit just boggles the mind in its stupidity) that I've just become desensitized to it.

I accepted while playing RE: Revelations that Jessica had gone full retard. What I'm struggling to come to terms with, is that first pic. What in the blue hell is going on there? Is that the work of Cthulu or is it the apex of human evolution?

These features have me extremely concerned. Kojima talks like story isn't going to be as big of a focus now either. Japanese development is so awful these days, ugh. Why do they think everything needs to be Westernized? To make it worse they're Japanese and a completely different culture so "Westernized" is not something they're good at doing.

Found out a few days ago that Troy Baker is going to voice Ocelot. Not really interested in the game now anymore. Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss was already just silly, but now replacing Cam Clarke/Patric Zimmerman as well is just really stupid.
