Either way, I have no doubt this game will bomb. It's trying too hard NOT to be Metal Gear Solid for it to be worthy of its name.

Since its going to be a younger Ocelot, but older then Snake Eater I still would have prefered if they got Josh Keaton back since he did the voice back then, but I think Troy Baker will do a good job as well.
All in all I'm still skeptical about this game, but I'm more interested in it now then I was 2 weeks ago.

Wait, what? In success or reviews? I doubt either department will take a huge hit. Besides, I've heard the same story of how Peacewalker devolved into a shameless action game.

Spoiled the ending of Ground Zeroes. I pity the fans who are buying it - I honestly see no point in it. I suppose one person might derive some sort of enjoyment out of its sandbox, however, there are other games that do that better. The fact that Ground Zeroes didn't even bring back co-op from Peace Walker makes it less worth paying full price for what already is a prologue to the actual MGS5.

I don't see the big deal with Quiet's outfit, either, honestly.

Looks fine to me.

Neither am I. There are half-naked men in video games like Kratos and nobody complains about that. I don't see why everyone is ****ing about half-naked video game women.
Not to get too much into an old comment - And I know this will spark a frenzy of comments very soon. So here goes -- Let me start out by saying that Kratos isn't a character that was made, for the sole purpose of objectifying men -- His half naked appearance isn't meant to do that because as it turns out he actually has a character (just not a very good one) but it's there. He's whole purpose isn't meant to serve as eye-candy material, because who is the main demographic for God of War? Well, that would be males, right? Lastly, he's quite ugly, or at the very least; Not the most handsome-looking in roo, whereas obviously female characters are usually very attractive. Now that's what I call juxtaposition. It's not a problem like how it's been a problem for female characters in general because in times when you actually do have female characters, they are either generic action girls, who are basically just male characters. They feel more or less like male characters in disguise which of course is disheartening.
I don't think I'll get further into it than that because the fact of the matter is -- Kojima's characters have always had stupid outfits. Despite Metal Gear Solid's deeper philosophical messages & themes, it is rather silly too with its character designs. Best just to live and let with it I think. At least in the case of Metal Gear.

Ugh... this again? Are we really going to bring up Quiet's design when we had people shirtless in Alaska in the first game (or Raiden in the second)?
I hope Phantom Pain has the same effect on me as Peacewalker did. Granted, I won't be sending people up into the sky anymore with no one noticing and I probably won't be building another Metal Gear.

Metal Gear is pretty equal in terms of fanservice. But whatever, it's a bandwagon, mob mentality and all that, it'll pass, people are barely bringing up Dragons Crowns Sorceress nowadays, same principle applies.

The following moment of weirdness in Ground Zeroes takes place between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. ...

The fact that Kojima outright said expect plotholes killed any interest I might have had left(which was very low after all the crappy info that was already revealed)
MGS died with MGS3, you where a good series, shame you got killed because Kojima and his monkeys decided to go mainstream.

But it's dark and edgy House! The days of methodically sneaking around, avoiding exposure are over my friend. Now it's the days of methodically killing all the blokes with a Carbine rifle from the shadows.

It is, what it is. MGS4 was a masterpiece (Although I think Snake Eater was the best), but the series needed to be wrapped up after MGS4.
Ground Zeroes has sounded like a dog since the rumored 5 hour link, now this article. I think it's time to come to terms with:
Metal Gear Solid, ended with 4.

Lol, good one
Metal Gear Solid, ended with 4.
That is something we can agree on - Despite 4's ham-handedness, contrived plot conveniences and deux ex machinas, it was decent.
