Here's what happened. You know the Xbox version came first. Then, Bioware hired Demiurge Studios to make the PC version. Apparently, someow, they "accidently" left out several of the high-resolution texture files when they made the port. That's why Garrus' face, among other people and clothing, was a much lower texture than everything around it. The problem comes in when trying to patch a game that uses Unreal Engine's file packing system. Apparently, they would need to replace some majorly huge files (upwards of a GB) that would include a bunch of files in addition to the textures we'd like. Well, most PC gamers don't care. We'll download the whole game again if we have to. We just want to have the same high-quality textures as Xbox. Almost everything in the game looks incredibly beautiful, and it takes away from the near-perfect experience when you run across a low-quality texture. I'm hoping that if we get enough people to post on this thread and we continue to show Bioware that we are interested, maybe they'll fix the small flaws with the PC version. I really hope so. Thanks guys, for your support, and thanks, Bioware, for making your incredible game. Looking forward to ME2 (and hopefully one more patch for ME1!)
