Now Bioware's been saying Fall 2014, but Ive seen a couple articles references a Q3 2014 release. Now it simplely could be a mistake, it would be the first time Game "Journalists" have done so.

Now Q3 Is July, August September. The last Month is widely considered part of fall, een though it technically doesn't start until the 21st/22nd. Also a majority of AAA games are released in the September-November window such as GTAV this year being the big September release

I personally prefer for the game to be released near the end of Q3. The game needs as much development as possible. I want it to be a big success for Bioware. I would be sad if DAI would be the end of a franchise. I even like it better than ME series.

I wouldn't bet that a fall 2014 release date will hold. True, it was already pushed out, but companies reserve the right to move it in any direction they want. There are risks to doing this, of course, but ultimately it's their call.

That being said, September is barely fall. Fall doesn't start until the 20's of September. I remember how ..."enthusiasts"...of Mass Effect were stomping like lunatics on January 1, 2012 when Bioware said that ME3 would be released in 1st qtr of that year. Every single day there was a new "Bioware, it's 1st Qtr. Where's my game" post. It was ridiculous. I thought the game would come out in March (since I figured Bioware would play it safe and aim more for the end of the quarter) and I was correct.

I say that for two reasons:

1) I think we'll see the game drop in early November, around the same time that DA:O did. Why? Cuz I read tea leaves.November puts the game in a sweet spot. The Christmas shopping season gets going and leaves them plenty of room for ads and hype.

2) Don't expect "early" fall. They said "fall". That's a 3 month span they have to play with. I try to let my enthusiasm err on the side of caution.

It seems reasonable. Although I´d love it to be released yearly fall, my life will be so hectic at the beginning of a new semester, so I guess its a good thing if it will be released late fall. :)

I would say September is very optimistic.

I don't expect the game before October and even then it's safer to assume it'll be late october or even november.

Well, being technical the first day of Fall is September 22nd, and so that leaves an one week window to make both right. One thing to keep in mind as well with some companies have quarters that are based on when they pay taxes, for instance in Canada the third quarter is October to December for a business.

Chris Priestly was asked what Bioware meant by 1st Qtr of 2012 for ME2.  He confirmed "quarter" based on "calendar" year...I sensed a bit of "are you frickin kidding me?" was lurking in his answer. LOL

Personally I dislike the use of quarters for that very reason, for you never really know who is thinking which way.

March 2015.

Probably not, but it just seems like BW games always come out around those months these days. :S

I doubt it. It makes sense to release the game before the holidays and it will be close to the anniversary of Origins.

It'd be a good idea, and I find the early Novermber release likely.

After watching PAX I can think of nothing else .  Looks like every amazing thing from Origins and DA2 mixed into one Epic Battle :wizard:.  No telling if I will care about the companions as much as those of Origins :? ... Varric excluded of course becouse hes just the man B), BUT with that aside, this Looks FANTASTIC :D and as I always say, more Dragon Age is NEVER a bad thing .

Fall 2014 probably means september, october or november. These are the official fall or autumn months.

Any time up to December 20th or so would be 'fall' in the northern hemisphere.

If they push the release until the 16th November I can get the game as a birthday present! Yay!
