Well there has bben talk of Races , Classes, and Landscapes anyone have a a Weapon design they love to see in the game ?

I personally would Love a Golden pack filled with pure Gold Daggers, Hammers, Axes, and Staves with various Designs.

Inspired from Fenris of DA:2   A weapons packs made with Pure Lyrium

I want spears. Effective, elegant unadorned ones. And effective, elegant unadorned staffs, and swords. Daggers actually shaped like daggers instead of cleavers.

DA2 ran away with the weapon models, most of them were utterly ridiculous, and almost everything was oversized. I want all that gone.

You realize that most likely low level weapons will look like your examples and high level weapons will look like the ones Parmida posted.

Although we might be able to improve weapons, I still think the more elaborate ones will be stronger if they are also improved.

I don't mind the elaborate looking weaponry, but I would like a clean, functional looking alternative for most level ranges as well (including end-game).

A simple practical looking bow. Something rustic looking you might see a ranger use.

Seeing lances/spears would be nice. They were sort of a big deal.

There had better be spears. Also, a RPG trope I really hate is the abundance of magical/legendary weaponry. Make those scare and far apart and difficult to find/acquire. And I really hope we can get Starfang with the whole epilogue slide and all.

To me, the simple elegance of the unadorned weapons has far more aesthetic appeal than the ornamented style. I would propose an unadorned weapon series for all level ranges. The elegance has to transform into computer graphics though. This was not done in a satisfactory manner in DA2. Metal looked a dull grey, for instance, more like stone than metal.

I agree some of the less dolled up weapons have an appeal. I love to see a weapon that just bam in your face like A Blood Staff : A staff made out of deep Road stone covered in Blood Stains with a Darkspawn Skull on Top

It'd be nice if the daggers were actually daggers, instead of short swords. They can have short swords, but call them that. I would like the weapons to be more realistically sized, like the swords in the Assasins Creed games. Spears and lances and one handed maces would also be nice, but would need their own appropriate animations.

I don't mind magic staves looking ceremonial. Anything that's actually used in combat should look as close to realistic versions as possible, though.

Polearms would be nice. Perhaps a bit difficult to implement, but nice.

I'd also like to see scabbards when appropriate.

Originally we were suppose to find it in DA2, maybe we'll find it in DA:I this time

Pikes would be a good addition imo. I'd also like to see crossbows return from DA:O for the Inquisitor to use.
