i only hope she makes an appearance if there is a sweet "faces of death" style of end; to her.

With a hardened Alistair, I don't see how they couldn't be.

She's dead in all my playthroughs.


Alistair has her executed. (Always Hardened.  Canonically for me, Either Ultimate Sacrifice (City Elf) or Dark Ritual (all others) is taken.  I used the cheatmode to get Alistair & Loghain's Sacrifices before using US on a City Elf playthru.)

Also, Drunken Alistair is recalled to Fereldan during the Events of DA2 if he were banished in Origins.  The Banishment was on pain of death for life.  Could mean that Queen Anora died about 7-8 years after the events of Origins....

Or else maybe about to be made the father or Anora's firstborn?  If She is queen alone, the upper nobilty of Fereldan harp on her about her childlessness.

Wait... What? Anora survives every outcome no matter what... She can either go to prison or become queen by herserlf, consort of Alistair or rule jointly with the Warden.

I think the same.... have you noticed how girls in new "HD" games are just ugly... In origins, Morrigan had a decent set of polygons, in Inquisition she looks like a dude. Same with Cassandra... They're obviously just polygons and it shouldn't matter, the real thing it's out in the world, but it's annoying to see videogame chicks get hideous due to HD or advanced engines.

I think we have different standards of polygons. Morrigan looks appealingly feminine to me in the new HD game as does Cassandra. Do all girls need to have enormous "polygons"?

Well, there will always be different toughts about both polygons and cells in women... I actually don't care for big polygons (I'm more of a tushy guy) but their faces does seem kinda boyish imo.

But whatever, Anora was just decent in Origins, I think her grinchy attitude and being her father's daughter was her appeal.

I wonder if by any chance Anora came to care for or even love her new husband (either the warden or Alistair).

I also want to see a playthrough where Alistair married Anora but kept the warden as his mistress and if Anora knows. Would be even more interesting with an elf or dwarf warden.

Indeed. She was lucky it was Alistair and not my Warden who decided what was to happen to her.


I don't feel any particular need for Anora to be back in DA:I.

Her situation is no more fluid than Alistairs. Much less so, in fact. He can be king alone, king with Anora as his wife, king with the Warden as his wife, a grey warden still, a recovering drunk, or dead, either by execution or sacrifice. 

This isn'd difficult. If Anora is sole queen, have her show up as queen. If she's married to Alistair, have them show up as a couple. If she's imprisoned, don't have her show up at all.

Yeah, exactly this. If they were to stablish a "canon" ruler, then it'd make way more sense to be Anora, as her possible outcomes difer way less from each other than Alistair's and there is no outcome where she dies.

I always had Anora as Queen in my canon Warden playthrough, so it'll be nice to see her in DA:I hopefully.
Too bad the writers tend to favour Alistair a lot...

I found her to be a very interesting character. If I hadn't been playing a city elf, I might even have admired her as a person and a leader, but I just can't get past how she didn't help the elves when she was supposedly the real power behind Cailan's throne and she doesn't help them in the future if she rules. I still think that it could be interesting to see her again, in the right context. Obviously her situaiton is going to be different depending on the past games that people import / settings used in Dragon Age Keep.

I liked her. It would actually be pretty cool to see her again. Wonder if she has become harder or softer with time. She had the potential for both.

Cassandra has that Faora look going on.  It is not unattractive at all.
