I think I've been hit by too many real women and now it turns me on.

Seriously though, I think the punch only works well if you're romanced (because you left her). When not romanced, it's harsh. Only makes sense if you saved the Collector base - because she'll say "I told you Cerberus was ****ed up". Or something along those lines.

"I told you Cerberus was bad news." or something more like that, swearing is wrong.

Anyway, I don't think punching someone is the right choice to make especially when:

A) Yo mama raised you better than to hit women.

B) And much more seriously, half of your face is metal and machinery. I'm sure it hurt Jack a lot more than it hurt you.

Good, maybe it'll teach her not to punch people randomly. :o

Only those who don't deserve it. When a woman walks up to me and punches me right in the face, I'd say she deserves it. So would renegade Shepard.

Just don't save her in ME2 next time.

If you romance her, the punch is justified. If you didn't, it's justified if you made any pro-Cerberus moves in ME2. But if you did that, you probably sided against her too. In which case, you never liked her, and probably should have let her die to begin with. See, problem solved. You don't get punched at Grissom anymore.

Jack: "Damn it Shepard, how many times have I told you never to trust Cerberus??"

I always found this question a bit annoying, because you can actually express your distrust of them throughout the entire game, and screw them over and tell the Illusive Man to stuff it and take the ship.

Yeah..

It doesn't work well in that case.

Not sure what to say. Other than the game was rushed in general. Maybe not enough time to tweak the script? I think Grissom in general went through a rehaul, and what we got is a second version (no evidence of that. I just think Jack was meant to be a squadmate, telling by her redesign and mention in the CE artbook. Seems like they did a lot of initial work and just ending up recycling it for a rescue mission).

Grunt - for being one of the most boring characters of the whole series.

I understand hating him, but boring is a unique way of describing him. He's at least good for some laughs, just for the combat dialogue. Both him and Wrex have a "casually brutal" thing about the way they talk.

How can anyone hate Grunt?

I just think it's a more excusable, subjective judgement. "Boring", however, doesn't seem to fit.

Basically, I'm just saying some people might not like him, but how could anyone call him boring? He's a krogan with the mind of a violent adolescent (as opposed to Wrex's violent grandpa thing). That's hardly boring.

Hackett.

Hackett: We can't win this war conventionally.

Shep: I agree, but there are options. If we could study what exactly caused the massive backlash that knocked out Sovereign's shields when we killed his Saren avatar, we might be able to replicate it and apply it to the Reapers en masse. We can also try rebuilding the Klendagon super-weapon that destroyed a Reaper in a single hit. The Illusive Man also has a plan to control the Reapers, and it's a pretty viable option if you think about it. If we can assume control of the Reapers even if it's only for a few hours, we could use that window of time where they're vulnerable to completely obliterate them.

Hackett: No! Our only option is a giant ****** that will consume all our resources whose function nobody understands.

Shep: But I've also just found these giant aquatic cuttlefish that can kill Reapers with a single thought....

Hackett: Haven't I told you we can't win this war conventionally? Because we can't win this war conventionally.

Shep: But I'm not even advocating we fight a conventional war! All I'm saying is that we have more options than just...

Hackett: Have I told you about how the scientists who built the nuclear bomb had no clue what they were building? Because this is exactly the same situation.

Shep: What? No it isn't! That's a terrible analogy. Just where did you graduate as a military officer from?

Hackett: Crucible.

Shep: But-

Hackett: Crucible.

Shep: Now you're just being-

Hackett: CRUCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Severing the connection between Sovereign and his avatar caused his shields to overload. The Codex notes that other Reapers have since adapted to this threat, as seen with Harbinger's ability to jump from Collector to Collector. The Klengadon planetary cannon, being mounted to a planet and all, can only be fired during a certain time of day and would prove very difficult to defend. It's highly impractical, to say the least. The Allied forces know very little about his plan; on top of that, it requires the Crucible to function.

The Klendagon gun is a titanically stupid plan that has a 0% chance of working for not just one, but about a half dozen reasons.

For starters, it's immobile. And attached to a planet. It's effectiveness as a weapon literally changes from hour to hour. Secondly, it's still immobile. A massive sitting duck with limited offensive capabilities doesn't make for a good gun, no matter how powerful it is. Thirdly, it's highly noticeable, unless you've never fired it before and have it hidden in an underground silo. The Reapers can just manuveur into its blindspots and descend from there, or render it inactive with shock troopers. Furthermore, I'd imagine a massive cannon of the sort would be ludicrously expensive. Given its highly situational use, you simply wouldn't be getting enough bang for your buck.

A few tweeks and you get the crucible or something very similar to it.

Ashley: that ho needs to be put down. My first play though she killed Wrex as I was trying to talk him down. I was FURIOUS - yelling at the computer. I tried to shoot her. But better, I chose Kaidan and let that **** fry.

Kaidan for Horizon. Though I forgave him later. Hard to stay mad at Kaidan.

Jack, as I was doing her on the floor underneath engineering. She likes it.

The Sularian and Asari ambassadors.

And last but not least, james. For wearing that stupid t-shirt.

Thing is, if you consider your options, construction of mass accelerator weapons capable of destroying reapers would probably be the most likely course of action if no other plans exist. Let's say that there are no plans for any kind of device that has the potential to destroy the reapers like the Crucible. What do you do? Running is not in the cards, since running requires resources and an infrastructure that the reapers destroy in their wake. So the only thing you can do is use whatever technology you have at your disposal to its fullest potential. Other options like ways to subvert the reapers' control over its monsters, and possibly assuming control over the reapers themselves is probably a good candidate to explore, but given that it requires close access to indoctrination-happy reaper tech, it's even more haphazard. The Klendagon gun would likely have been constructed with the only other option being dying without putting up much of a fight.

So really, in lieu of a Crucible, what would be a viable course of action to dealing with the reapers that does not involve hiding in an enclave like Zion or retreating into stasis pods to wait out the extinction cycle?
