I always pick the renegade dialogue when Jack punches Shepard, but I sure would've liked a renegade interrupt that somehow deflects it.

Miranda when she tells you how she wanted to implant a control chip in Shepard (why isn't there a more drastic answer for this).
Wrex when he tells you about his piracy job for Saren, his contract kills on Noveria, his attempt to kill a friend for money (Aleena) and when he taunts Liara during the Rachni Queen decision in the first game.
Jack and that Asari on Illium for slapping/punching Shepard.

And yes, I would have at  least chastised Thane for his habit of trying to excuse his nasty habit for murder.

It seems to me like everyone Thane killed was not exactly a person whose life I would consider terribly valuable. Heck, Nassana Dantius was scum, and the universe was a better place in her passing. But then again, I did choose to push a merc out the window, so it's not as if I have much room to judge.

The matriarchs on Thessia informed Tevos of the existence of the beacon during the war (as she tells you after Tuchanka)...and she immediately contacts Shepard. You have no reason to blame her and we never met the asari who decided to hide it (apart from Benezia in ME1 ofc).  And she agreed to help Earth after the Cerberus coup, so virtually the same time as anyone else does and without demanding anything in return. Again, no reason to blame her.

Shepard spends the entire game moping about Earth, and trying to get everyone to rally together to retake it when sending reinforcements to Thessia or Palaven would make much more sense. And no where after Thessia is Shep crying about the planet. Shep is upset she lost the Catalyst.

She says: "It's my job to be prepared-- no matter what. And now Thessia is lost, as is the Catalyst." And that's all she says about Thessia itself. The entire rest of the conversation is about how she failed to stop Cerberus, and failed to get the Catalyst

Nassana and the batarian mercs who killed his wife are the only victims that are mentioned (assuming I haven't missed sth.). He first killed at the age of 12. He didn't kill out of conviction but because it was his job. Assuming I haven't missed something about Thane I highly doubt there aren't innocent victims in his past.
