Oh, so every series has content that pushes him towards quitting, then? Is that what's going on?

...Meaning that such a complaint is entirely worthless, then. Since it obviously applies to everything.

There's a false conclusion.

Are you a member of the WBC by any chance? You seem hellbent on being an ass more than you do on even making an argument. I mean, only they seem to utterly reject everything else on the basis of their own opinions infallibility that you must have some connection to them.

Shepard explicitly says she wants the turian fleet to take Earth back (See this devastation Primarch? Double that for Earth).

Well... the Primarch didn't have to agree to it, you know.

When I said pragmatic, I meant that Shepard and Garrus were taking the Reaper devastation like... well, grown-ups.

Earth only becomes important after the Citadel gets moved there, but that doesn't happen until late in the game. But we still spend the entire game convincing other species to help  lovely Earth and leave their own planets to die.

Liara did her job on Thessia, and she's ready to go on the very next mission. Her reaction immediately after Thessia is certainly much more believable than the wooden response of some other characters.

You need to stop and read posts. I know it's a fast moving thread, but do yourself a favor.

I never said I quit. I said if it wasn't for the general quality of the series, these little things would bother me.

But the point is, they don't bother me. I overlook them. Certainly don't bother me to a "great extent". I haven't quit and said the series had quality in that VERY post.

Probably depends on the amount of things he finds annoying in the material overall. No two works of fiction are alike, and yes minor issue can keep people from getting into series it's called personal preference. But honestly I'm done humoring you Davey.

Oh, no, no, no. You said, and I quote "If it wasn't for the general quality of the trilogy as a whole, these little things would make me quit."

It sounds to me like you're changing your story. First you were saying they bothering you to the extent of pushing you towards quitting. Now you're saying they don't bother you at all.

@Barquiel, she didn't do her job. She whined and cried and should have stayed on the ship. Her meltdown only proves that she is not able to handle it.

It sounds to me like you're deliberately misinterpreting his statement to antagonize him for the point of brutal sophistry.

Does winning an internet argument make you feel powerful David?

What "story"? Haha. It's just a figure of speech. A little dramatic spin on my acknowledgement that the plot elements can be silly at times, but I love the ME trilogy anyways.

How you got that I wanted to quit, I don't know. Don't care anymore. Like I said, this is tedious. And borderline creepy how you're riding my ass about this. Go ****** or something. It'll make you feel better. Honestly. You need to something to relax.

Yep, pretty much. Garrus keeps his cool prefectly when Palaven is attacked. Sure, he's disturbed and saddened on the Normandy, but he keeps it together while in battle. Same with Tali.

.  So does Shepard.  he doesnt cry himself into his pillow after Earth fell.  He reolves to save it  not whine and mope.

I'm just innocently pointing out what I see. Surely we can all agree that when someone says "If it weren't for the good parts, these little things would make me quit" that the 'little things' in question bother him or her? That seems very obvious to me. Why would you quit if such things didn't bother you?

And now I see him claiming the opposite. It's just an innocent little observation on my part.

I really can't stand how many times Shepard says something stupid in ME3; I so much liked it better how in the first two games, he kept his mouth shut until it was his turn to speak, and when that turn came it was totally up to the player to decide what got said and how.

Oh, please. Let's not delude ourselves into thinking that dialogue was perfect in ME 1 and ME 2 and then went totally downhill in ME 3.

"You're just a machine, and machines can be broken!"

Wow..... this thread's really descending into idiocy.

Though oddly enough, the post just above this one makes perfect sense.

The humans have a better bargaining chip than "Omg, my precious world is dying. Plz saev it!"

They have the Crucible. I mentioned this. Fighting for Earth is just a rallying point.

Thane - For having a cool intro but going out like a b!tch.
Mordin - For reminding me of why I hate the blue ranger.
Legion - For showing me the dangers of closed source applications.
Grunt - For being manufactured in a tank like seriously dude.
Ashley - For being being just really fcking stupid.
Kaiden - For being the symbol avatar everytime everyone calls someone a bigot.
Samara - For not showing my shepard what that mouth do though.
Liara - For being a creepy stalker that rapes me by "embracing my eternity"
Zaeed - I didn't mean to slap him, I was trying to give him a high 5 but it's cool cause we had drinks afterwards.

Exactly. Her emotional and psychological weakness would've been a good reason to never recruit her. She's not fit for war, simple as that.

Garrus had a lot more time to deal with the situation. Palaven is already under siege (for several days) when Shepard arrives.

Tali either commits suicide or gains her homeworld back. Not much to complain about for her part...

Shepard complains...a lot (and has weird dreams about some kid)

Liara takes it hard, but pushes the grief back to do her job (after a single pep-talk). So why is this allowed to everyone else except Liara? And if she didn't have some kind of break down I would consider this a major OOC moment. She isn't a trained soldier.
