That's complete nonsense.

I won't deny that it happens more often in ME 3, but the idea that it happened 'next to never' in ME 1 and ME 2 is a very silly delusion.

Alright, when did Shepard make a statement outside of Conversation mode in the first two games?

Wait. Are you talking about autodialogue or Shepard speaking during gameplay?

I mean, not that it matters. The previous games had both, although ME 1 didn't have Shepard speak during gameplay much.

The auto-dialogue in ME1/2 was largely non characterizing. They weren't describing Shepard in it. Mostly just providing some exposition.

When it starts to interfere with RP ability does an issue arise. ME1/2/3 all had instances of this. ME3 had it the worst.

Let me rephrase: when does Shepard speak during gameplay in the first two games?

NPCs I felt annoyed with:

VS on Horizon and Mars for unabated, self-righteous treachery which progresses into a paranoid crusade.

Femshep each time she's talking to Jacob. Just stop harassing him.

The human committee on Earth at the beginning of ME3 for being extremely lame, inefficient, incompetent, and impotent. "What do we dooo?" What a sheep in need to be shepherded. Don't they have some protocol in case of an overwhelming alien invasion?

Alot in ME2, though people tend to forget that because they think ME2 was the second coming of Jesus.

It was the second coming of Shepard, to be exact. Jesus doesn't have a grenade launcher.

The only character that didn't have the idiot ball in ME3 was Mordin and Javik. Kinda sad really.

My bad. Yeah, must be the Team America edition of the Bible. I recall Luke 22.36 as follows, "“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a grenade launcher, sell your cloak and buy one.”

Harbinger - most annoying, and lamest cartoonish nemezis ever, and it just can't shut its stupid mouth up.

Miranda - I simply dislike the whole character and I find her totally annoying.

Jack - "Get your **** together b*tch!"

Grunt - for being one of the most boring characters of the whole series.

Legion - for being a stupid hacked machine which wants to upload the reaper's code to the Geth concensus.

I understand hating him, but boring is a unique way of describing him. He's at least good for some laughs, just for the combat dialogue. Both him and Wrex have a "casually brutal" thing about the way they talk.

I couldn't stand Kaidan in ME1 and favored Ash, but these two have reversed in ME3. I felt Shepard was lying when Shepard refused her to join the crew in ME3. I rather would have Shepard to tell her to screw it, because she'll never be able to trust Shepard again. Kaidan felt more sincere in that respect in dealing with it later on. Although I remember an odd remark of him in the conversation with the crew before leaving for Thessia, which raised an eyebrow. ;)

"You're soft. Humans, Asari, Salarians...all soft. Quarians...not so much. Turians...you have to work the blade. Don't see much point to it though. He he. 'much point'. Never mind."

Wrex, because he makes people stop talking about me for a short period of time.

Liara because all of her kindness deserves no lesser punishment than death, but I'm having a good day.

The kid, because he made my Shepard sad, and MY Shepard happens to be amused by dead infants, damnit.

Most of all though, any potential love interest other people prefer over my own.

One of the keepers.

Just to see if they really do explode.

Also Avina, right after Shepard asks if she's real. But more in the way of just trying to touch her. Once a tourist, always a tourist.

Or the Monty Python edition:

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." ...

Good catch. Now I need to watch that again.

Not exactly slap, but I was hoping there would be a renegade action for right after Jack punches you at Grissom Academy, letting you punch her back.
