Except for the pathetic fatbody loser who sleeps in his mom's basement who does it as a desperate attempt at a real relationship that he has never felt before in real life. Porn doesn't give that loser some false sense of self-worth the same way a game like Dragon Age or Mass Effect does. You're the hero and you get the girl (guy). Two things that probably won't be happening soon in real life for said fatbody. 

It's like the people who have those fake romances with characters they create in a game of D&D in their basement. Yes, they can get the same effect from a Playboy or Hustler. But they don't get the same sense of false self-worth.
