Yeah, Plus you could say the same about Dialogue choices or side quests all those resources could have been spent on making the combat not suck or making the caves look not the same. 

Those fetch quests took up so much coding.

Bioware would never remove romances anyway. It increases the immersion in its role as an RPG imo.

Besides Dragon age 2 has one of the worst and broken down romances arcs ever.

I don't have to find a reason you are wrong  YOU are the one listing all the alleged ways DA2 would have been better if the romances had not been written.  The onus is on YOU to prove that you are correct.
