Because there's far more to these games than romances... things that should take precedence among players, but are instead overshadowed by the desire for custom-tailored romances to tickle peoples' shallow fancies.

I don't like the precendent that sets for gamers or developers.

You want Bioware to cater to things you like, and ignore the things that other people like

Especially when he comes into a forum for a game he's never played but openly criticizes while comparing it to another game that he claims is absolutely relevant to the thread.

Tbf Bioware started this whole Romances thing if they had never done that we would all just be having the same discussion about silly mage hats.

I see no evidence that he is a "tiny minority"  I see little to seperate him from many others

Protip: I can. It's the simple fact you started this with "I would have expected". That right there proves every improvement that followed was pure speculation on your part. There is no correlation that resources used for the romances would have gone into any of the things you mentioned.
