Let me get this straight.
Are there people on this thread that seriously think players romance characters for the purpose of sex? For the purpose of a 15 second scene or even a fade to black? People who seriously think that anyone would do that to get off instead of just watching regular porn?
Yes.
You are the case in point.
I take it regular porn doesn't have enough heroism for you.
And the pizza delivery boy doesn't get much characterization either.
So you come here. And harp.
Also, Plaintiff.
Does that make you feel powerful Massively?
Smug. Like David. I'm going to emulate him.
The only difference is that I am actually justified.

What is this "implication" you speak of? Explain to one such as I, who has no grasp on the English language.Volus Warlord wrote...

Let's just get a headcount here. How many people here think that players romance characters for the primary purpose of watching a 15 second sex scene?
Also, I genuinely would like someone to explain to me why exactly the romance with Garrus is considered one of the most satisfying in Mass Effect. There's no sex scenes at all. Just fades to black.
It's called "implications."
They are often more powerful than observations.

While that would disappoint, it wouldn't break my chances of buying Inquisition.
Some of the most compelling BioWare companions have been non-romanceable. Varric, Aveline, Shale, Wynne, Wrex, Kasumi...pretty much whoever your character didn't romance.
Don't forget Sten!
And Mordin... I just loved when the good doc gave you bedroom advice)))
But without romances Mordin wouldn't be able to give you bedroom advice
I'd have never met all those great guys at Drell Lickers Anonymous without it.

Nobody romances characters for the sex scenes.
I'm sorry, are people really this stupid?
Your mistake comes in thinking that the mindset stops with the fifteen-second scene.
Everything leading up to that fade-to-black is mere foreplay for ... erm, headcanon and fanfic. It devolves into Rule 34 territory after that, and yes, there are certain players who go after the romances for that very reason.

Well, sometimes things you see point you towards a certain conclusion without having a direct observation of that conclusion. Do you have to see something firsthand to believe it accurate?

Because he's got a smexy voice and he's so guddamn heroic.
But you don't understand meaningful heroism so I'm clearly wasting my time.

Admitting it is the first step, Plaintiff. After this, we can send you to Romance Rehab.

He makes no points, he said the same **** twice. "Nobody really needs any aspect of gaming"? Why the hell is he playing games if he's gonna go off claiming that because he can't live without romances?

She isn't popular. She isn't even in the top several dozen. That should be ample proof that sex is not the primary motivator behind players who romance characters.
