She voiced Female Shepard. The seeming dislike is odd as from what I've seen a lot of people prefer her over Mark Meer.

No voice probably won't be a big deal to me. I agree with Laura Bailer, they part of me would rather her voice an LI. I suppose I've married her enough in Fire Emblem though...

I didn't mind her as Bastila (and some of her other roles), but her performance as FemShep grated on me. I think the best choice would've been someone who sounded like she was tough without sounding like she was consciously trying to (Which Laura Bailey pulled off flawlessly as the Boss in Saint's Row.) ....which is exactly what Jen Hale didn't do. The deep, wheezy thing she does just screams "LOOK HOW TOUGH I SOUND LISTEN TO ME" to me.

Just my opinion. I imagine I should flee before violence ensues. 

Yeah. She really sounds like she's trying way too hard, and it's grating. Also for the female soldier on SWTOR. She was great as Bastila, though. If she would have used her Bastila voice for FemShep, that would have been better.

Well, no.

I mean, in DA:O I disliked pretty much all of the voices avaliable to my character - and they would trigger *everywhere* - so I'm conditioned to deal with it.

That depends on how bad it is but it wouldn't stop me from playing the race though I would turn the volume down and read the subtitles so I wouldn't have to listen to them.

I don't know - BioWare has an armada of voice actors/actresses voicing the NPCs. It's possible she'll voice one minor character, if not a big one. She voiced a couple in the Mass Effect games.

I also throw in my vote for Tara Platt to voice someone important.

I assume DA:I is going to be a fairly long game so having a character who's voice I like listening to will play a huge part in which race I pick.

I'm kinda disappointed that Manquisitor sounds like he could say "RESPECT MY CHESTHAIR " with a straight face... again. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he doesn't sound like someone with blunted affect... again.

I wanted to say it would feel weird playing as an elf with that voice but then I remembered Fenris.

It made me want to scratch her eyes. But her snotty attitude didn't help at all, either.

Since voice's are regional not racially dependent as long as the background and voice aren't in complete disharmony then it won't affect my choice at all.

Possibly; it was a factor in Class selection for SWTOR.
