Eh. All my favorite voice actors are already attached to characters from this series.

What I would not give to play an inquisitor voiced by Simon Templeman...

If Bioware is going to go with multiple voices, then why don't they just let the player decide? Let's say you have 3 female voices and 3 male voices; just let the player decide which voice fits their Inquisitor in the character creation screen.

Yep, this seems best.

Honestly yes. I want to play an Elf, but if he has a god awful Welsh accent I won't.

Agree but damn, i wonder how much budget would they need for voice acting to record everything.
But yeah, it would definitely be cool to have more voices and it would also raise replay value.

Is that to imply that if he has a good Welsh accent you will, or that all Welsh accents are by default, god awful?

Yeah, that's my biggest concern. I want the money to be put into more important things like companion voicework and gameplay. As long as the Inquisitor voice actor doesn't sound like total crap, I could care less. Honestly, I'd prefer the main just be silent, but that doesn't appeal to most people nowadays.

I guess they could also assign one voice actor to do human/elf and one to do dwarf/qunari per gender.

That's a good middle ground

Laura Bailey for human/elf, Jennifer Hale for dwarf/qunari and I could die happy :o

I will go so far as to say it could. SWTOR was a good example. There were often characters that I made with say Body size 3, which basically looks like the big muscular type Qunari body. However, the voice for that class was unbearable coming out of that particular character. It was like watching Mike Tyson speak. I usually abandoned those characters after an hour or so.

I also couldn't bring myself to ever play a male Hawke in DA2 just because the voice was very odd to me.

So yeah, as much as I want to play a Qunari female mage, if the voice just doesn't fit, then I might choose something else.

And if we get a Welsh elf, I will never ever ever stop playing as an elf.

Don't know about the race, but all the recent voices in Bioware games make me play female exclusive characters.

Iain Glen for Male Human Inquisitor.

Aaaaw yeah, that'd be awesome.

Alan Rickman for male inquisitor or love interest please.

Not my first time around, but after hearing all the voices, definitely. I'm a male who mostly plays Femshep just because I find Jennifer Hale's delivery more believable than Mark Meer's. Additionally, some voices are just pleasant to listen. It may actually affect my first playthrough if they release the names of the voice actors and I see someone I recognize.

Obviously, I won't pick for the voice in my first playthrough, but yes, the voice may well play a part in which of my Inquisitors becomes the "main".

I don't mind a natural Welsh accent. But some of them in DA2 just seemed... god awful? <_<

I always thought he sounded like Fenris.

My only hope is that they do a non-English accent if it makes sense for the background (dwarf, qunari, sometimes elf). I think the stereotypic English accent is what made male Hawke's voice so strange to me... all his attempts at humor went the wrong way and he sounded like an immature ****** with the emotional capacity of a piece of toast.

If I had to guess they will do 4 VAs total. 2 Male & 2 Female. Then you can pick either VA for your gender at character creation. Is a balance of choice and cost for multiple VAs.

As for who those VAs are going to be...

Depending how many VA option we will have. I didn't mind the VA who played the male Sith Warrior. I can see him doing a male human inquisitor perhaps the tevinter background.

If they do go with multiple VAs, I hope they do this. I don't want to be stuck with a voice I really hate just because I want to play a dwarf/human/whatever. Of course, if it's one VA per gender then it really won't matter, lol.

What sort of voices are y'all hoping for? Breathy, gravelly, etc.? Any favorite actor/actresses?

I don't think there were any welsh accents in DA2 other than Merrill.  Rest of the dalish were Irish.

Am I the only one who liked the Female Hawk voice? Who was she?
