Welcome to Petticoat Castle, a thread inspired by that shamelessly rips off DKain's Party Temple, only this one is Dragon Age-flavored. I realize this section of the forums is pretty much dead, but the Inquisition Discussion forum isn't a good fit for this, plus it scares me just a little.

So what is this, you may ask? Petticoat Castle, like the Party Temple before it, consists of the hilariously inaccurate transcribed audio on Youtube videos.
Posted Image

For those of you new to this whole thing, here's a handy photo.
Posted Image
All you need to do is click the CC button, and sit back. If you're impatient or don't have the time to sit through an entire video and just want to get to the good stuff, click on the transcript button below the like/dislike counter. It instantly lists every line and the corresponding time, and you can click on it to jump right there.

If you want to post pics here, just hit print screen when you find something good and copy it into paint. Crop the image and upload it to a hosting site like photobucket or flickr.

Posted Image

For those of you who remember me from Party Temple, I'm going to try to stay away from massive stories like JaG, as they just become too hard to continue eventually. Relevant shots just grow scarcer and scarcer until you're left with nothing you can use.  There will still be massive posts with dozens of panels, I'm sure, but they will conclude. I feel terrible that JaG didn't end, and if I ever find a way to end it, I will.

But anyway. Open the gates.

Depending on where you're from, this can mean two different things.

I actually went to school with a Jenn Harris. She never struck me as the type to constantly fondle pixels, but then again, I didn't really know her that well.

LOL! The last panel inparticular, cracked me up. XD

I'm on my phone, getting ready to turn out my light, but look forward to spending some time in this thread.

I don't have much in the Cullen department, I have a few, but they're accurate and not funny on their own. This is the only one I have that isn't a correct subtitle.

Posted Image

By all means, spread the word. This is a pretty low-traffic area.

Orsino should just give up this whole "First Enchanter" thing and become a grief counselor.

So I managed to get the magical youtube translation fairies that live in the CC button to give their insight on several characters from Dragon Age. Since they obviously aren't good when it comes to interpreting the English language, I just showed them pictures of the characters and let them say what came to mind.

Ford decided that Zevran may not be the spokesperson they want for their vehicles.
Posted Image

Posted Image
I don't know. Do I?* (if it doesn't start there already, skip to 5:26.)

Posted Image
Why am I not surprised...

There's another Zevran-centric post coming up later on, I could have put it up now, but it has potential to grow into something hilarious.

Aveline (aka Strongsville the Wild): "I need three guys, and a special treat." XD XD

I think I gave myself a hernia. :D

Oh Zevran....don't ever change. But in the meantime, go talk to Alistair. Apparently he has a very willing friend named Russell.

;)

Well, hello strangers!

Posted Image
Posted Image

Nah, even if this thread becomes just another hangout for the ol' DD gang, I enjoy it far too much to stop. I admit, I kinda like it all hidden away down here from all the craziness that is the DA:I forum. More posters would be ideal, as pics become springboards for other posters. Which reminds me...

Posted Image

Posted Image

I am however fully prepared to keep this thread going for quite a while. I've got about 300 pictures saved and many, many more "bookmarked". I usually have a pen and paper out when I watch videos, I'll note the time and line if I'm lazy and don't feel like doing the ol' copy/crop.

Sometimes you'll see shots that are rather shocking in their..."inaccuracy"..
Posted Image

But most of the time it's nonsense like this.
Posted Image

I'd originally planned to have a post here tonight revolving around The Long Road from DA2 (Aveline and Donnic quest, if you don't remember), where Aveline goes to Zevran (!) for advice. Well, that snowballed. She's asking everyone now. Even the Architect.

Did I count right? 47 panels? I wanted to wait until I had better stuff, or at least a part for every major character, but then I decided, ah, to hell with it.

Aveline has been having trouble in the relationship department.
Posted Image

She decides to turn to her friends and... some random strangers for advice. Zevran is eager to help.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Aveline politely explains she's looking for a man, and that she's too shy to go up and talk to the object of her affections.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Isabela tells her there's nothing to fear.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Fenris scoffs,
Posted Image
Posted Image

Aveline makes a mental note.
Posted Image

...and so does Fenris.
Posted Image

Aveline goes back to Isabela's suggestion.
Posted Image

The Architect agrees with Aveline, he's had no luck on that front either.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Feeling left out, Sten cuts in with
Posted Image

Anders thinks that's a bit too forward.
Posted Image

Varric has an idea.
Posted Image

Aveline calls his bluff.
Posted Image
Posted Image

LadyHawke reminds her,
Posted Image
But Aveline quickly shuts that down.
Posted Image

Cullen thinks maybe Aveline could stand to lose a few pounds.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Fenris raises a bottle, one that he's been partaking of for quite a while, in Aveline's direction.
Posted Image

Oghren laughs.
Posted Image

Hawke takes a look at the bottle Fenris is holding.
Posted Image

Anders decides it's best to not let his friend suffer through this discussion any longer.
Posted Image
He asks,
Posted Image
Posted Image
He tells her he'll teach her all she needs to know -
Posted Image
It works every time.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Isabela has one final piece of advice for Aveline.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Several days later, Aveline shows up in the Hanged Man with a grin on her face. She approaches Isabela and says

Isabela replies

Posted Image there's some great advice there for Aveline.  And who knew the Architect had relationship advice to give!

I have had a little search and uncovered this (I'm not so great at tales)

Posted Image

I always thought Seb was a one for the foundation.

Posted Image

I'm not sure I would want that in my cake (I do love a bit of coconut though)

^Yeah, I've got that one too. :)

I've found several more instances of "jen/jenn harris", my next post ( I don't know when it'll be) revolves around Fenris' ill-fated trip to Iran with her.

Perhaps they'll run into Thane. He's been there.

Well, Thane's a desert creature. Fenris is from a more desert-y place......I think I see a connection.
Now! On to Iran....with jenn harris. O.o
