Oh wait... this is DA. Then we'll get a non-critical but cool character with a unique perspective, or an additional LI who addresses a demographic not addressed by the LIs of the main game.
Hmm. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Cole. Too bad Maevaris is out, she would've been interesting.

I don't understand why people want a character to be in a DLC.
I think most people are just going with the trend of previous games and expect there to be a DLC companion.
But with 9 companion already being available, I doubt we will get a 10th one. Both DAO and DA2 had 9 companions. Ok DAO had 10 with Loghain, but he is only available after the Landsmeet and you lose Alistair to gain him.

It better not be Cole as DLC because we're probably going to see Rhys, Evangeline and Adrian and it wouldn't make sense if he was left out when they're left in.

Not worth the money.
Perhaps Charade or one the characters from Awakening or who else.
Tallis.

He should be part of the main game!
Put that bald guy as the dlc character, he's my least favorite of what I have seen so far.

As long as he doesn't end up like Sebastian. Non physical romance option that you only get halfway through the game.Battlebloodmage wrote...

I find it sad that the dlc character is such a concrete reality at this point that we expect to be charged for an important party member when we buy a new Bioware game.
Technically we'll be paying for the extra work the dev team put in between completion and release to add another companion to the game. A lot of Day One DLC works like that, there's always going to be something cool that had to be cut from the base game, and if they're willing to spend the extra time in order to add it to the game, I'm willing to pay for that extra time. It's better than never seeing the content at all.

Oh, God, I can just imagine the firestorm of controversy once BSN as a whole realised that Maevaris is a transsexual(man posing as a woman).
I think it would be good for Bioware. Tbh despite a few people on here I think it would be worse off here.
You know there would be some story about it with some christian group going after the game in the name of children who shouldn't even playing an M rated game.
It happened with Origins, swtor and da2 just for having same sex options.

Yeah from what Laidlaw said in the Q&A there will be some sort of DLC (dunno if it will be a character) but he said he wanted it to bring something new. which to me sounds like it's something they are putting in late not something ripped from the game.
That's why I hold out a little hope that they will put Mae in because gaider said he would have liked to but they came up with her too late.
I do know it's highly unlikely though.

As long as they don't go the ME3 route where the DLC companion is the only one with any real content or character growth.Freek on a Leesh wrote...

Honestly I hope its someone we have never met before with an interesting back story rather then a character we have run into in the past. When you bring in characters from the past too many people may want to shove a sword through the potential character.

And i´m not trolling. Most of the players prefers special companion over normal ones.
Shale and Javik are cool and unique. Zaeed and Sebastian aren´t that remarkable.
Especially Sebastian.
Yes i know that a Darkspawn companion sounds unlikely. But after a fu..ing Prothean there is nothing really impossible. And in Awakening we saw at least one darkspawn disciple mage.
