I wonder, think you can pull off a Mordin? Mordin has a rather frail looking build, same as Tali's and you pulled the Tali costume well. How about Legion? I challenge you to do Legion! >=D

Heya Kusy :D

Woops! Irohh thanks for letting me know, it should work now. I also put a new link to the actual Shepard costume I have. I'm working on "Fight for the Lost" style photos but the upload is screwing up so I have to go back and re-edit the photos...sigh.

Just_mike- You can pull off a Mordin, the key is exaggeration and forming a costume to your proportions. Tali has those same backwards legs so I created a "minotaur" leg where I padded the calf area.

I'd love to do Legion..just...have to figure out that hole in the chest issue D:

4. This fine lady did a Benezia at Anime Boston and received Honorable Mention at a contest Click here.  She recently made a commando and did the headpiece out of fabric, which I think would be super hard to do Click here

Okay well I have all the photos for a hanar plush tutorial but I forgot my transfer cable in my studio so I won't be able to update until tomorrow or Sunday...so uh, I'm about a week behind on when I was supposed to have it posted. Not too bad :D

Also, for anyone who is looking to make armor/ quarian suits there is a thread on cosplay.com with people actively discussing their methods and sharing tutorials.  Its here, I'll add it to the OP

ITT: fat people who cosplay to pretend they are people who are not fat
her costume would have made more sense she tried to impersonate a Hutt

Okay, FINALLY got around to doing the hanar plushie tutorial. It gets a little jumbled at the end since I switched the image numbers on accident but here it is. If its a little confusing let me know. I'll post it to the OP

Also, happy Varrens-day! :wub:

Good job HMWSGX!

Will there be any Hanar-costumes on the horizon?

Thanks wolfe!

Maybe, kwonnern! :D My original idea was a life sized Hanar that could be worn like a "hat" on someone who wore all black so there would be less focus on the person and more on the strange glowing, floaty alien roaming the con. I would encourage anyone else to do this AND to attach a pistol to one of the legs--Enkindle this!

Hahah varrens-day.

Anyway, I actually came onto this thread to tell you you're doing a great job. I remember having a peek at the old thread on the ME1 forums, and from what I remember seeing you've improved your Tali costume tons HMWSGX, so kudos :)

It's good to see people so much effort into something they love. It's refreshing.

HMWSGX a life size Hanar plushie would be awesome like you mentioned half a pistol strapped to one of its legs and it could be the first Hanar Spectre. Anyway keep up the great work as always.

Ahh sweet I was wondering if she'd have other photos! I saw that tali's WIP helmet photo and a tiny image of it complete when I was starting mine but I never saw anything else. I had no idea she was with two other Mass Effect cosplayers...and the Benezia looks awesome!

Thanks Kris, added to the OP :D

Try it, Himura! Its pretty exciting :D

Yep, tatterhood was one of the first asari and made the tutorial ^^

The Shepard is actually a Bioware employee, they were lucky and had it commissioned and one of them wore it at PAX. I could put it up in the OP but I'm not sure if it qualifies as promotion or costume xD;; Eh, wouldn't hurt

omg, you're right, that's even Chris Priestly's flickr channel, lol

I love cosplaying, never tried myself but i love to see the results of people's work . But i must admit, my real passion is wood carving, i'm actually collecting material and will try to make a wooden model of the Normandy and Mako ^_^

Yeah the pics of the Mass Effect cosplayers shown above were most awesome. All three of the costumes were very well done.

Himura, I'd love to see the Normandy! I wish I was decent with models :( I'm not even half decent with costumes XD;;;

They totally are, payne :D I really want a Shepard crew outfit but now I'm filling my plate again..
On top of needing to finish my Shepard, I'm now slowly buying supplies for a Jack costume. I just bought these bad boys (20% off coupon yaay)  I'm going to need to take them to a shoe maker to cut down the heels though.

One of the various Shepard crew costumes would probably be a somewhat easy first time Mass Effect costume to make for people who have no experience in making costumes.

Kick butt boots HMSWGX so in terms of your Jack costume will you be doing her standard costume or the alternate one you get when you complete her loyalty mission successfully?

Am I going mad when I hear Tali's voice as I read your posts?..:mellow:

As for that Hole....Um...I will keep working on that. :pinched:

Payne- thanks I'm super excited about the boots :D I'm thinking about doing the alternate costume since the cons I go to are family friendly and I don't want to alarm or offend any parents...I'm not big on the controversy thing. But I'm going to model it off the original (maybe tweak the pants since I like the alt ones better) and just add the black top to it so I can always choose to switch off and use the original model. I'm going to do a transparent bodysuit and have a friend of mine airbrush the tattoos on so hopefully that ends in success xD

Meglivorn- hahaha I guess he kind of does. its a spoiler for ME3! Team up with Conrad for the FINAL BATTLE!!! xD;;

Just_mike- Not going mad, but disappointed if you ever did hear my voice xD And I'm awful at accents so I can't even mimic her voice--double the disappointment!

Yeah probably would be good to go with the alternate costume then. The Alternate costume albeit more family friendly is still very cool. So the tattoos will be airbrushed onto you? Well I guess they would be if you are wearing a transparent body suit. So for Jack's hair style would you actually do your hair like hers or just use some sort of makeup?
