The Asari costumes were awesome. Nice work on the headpiece. A lot of details in there.

Yeah probably would be good to go with the alternate costume then. The Alternate costume albeit more family friendly is still very cool. So the tattoos will be airbrushed onto you? Well I guess they would be if you are wearing a transparent body suit. So for Jack's hair style would you actually do your hair like hers or just use some sort of makeup?

The tattoos would be airbrushed onto the suit, but it'll be transparent enough that it will (hopefully) look like they're on my body. I don't know if I'd buzz my head xD; I'm looking into bald caps but I've heard mixed results on how nice/real  they look. If I do buzz it I definitely wouldn't buzz it as close and wouldn't shave the designs into whats left of my hair...it grows so slow I'd have to live with that for months.

Right now I'm in my final stages of grad school so I'm pretty much gone on these forums. I'll probably let this thread die unless people find more costumes to post. Right now there are a TON of people discussing ME2 costumes on the cosplay website, so anyone who wants to follow along here is the link otherwise I'm letting this thread die until more costumes get made--sounds like there will be new ones by summer time!

HUGE first post update. Lots of new costumes! I updated ones with actual progress photos. A Garrus, two Talis, a turian design, Saren, and an update on the Thane costume has been added! Also, please cheer on Historian of Hell. She is doing the animatronic Grunt, Shepard and Tali for Comic con and she BETTER get best of show!!

I know its a rezzed thread, and can a dev move this to the character discussion forum?

All these costumes are mind boggling. Cheers to the creativeness of everyone with the patience to make them!

I, personally, will stick to drawing stick-men with my non-existent artistic talents and leave things like this to the professionals. Keep it up!

Whoever wears a Turian costume needs to do air quotes.

This is mandatory.

Aha, payne is guilty of the thread rez this time :D

Well, I did need to update the OP because there are about 5 new costumes to show! 2 more Tali's, a Shep, more of Thane, and an absolutely amazing Samara costume. Check out the op for more details!

I am glad Bioware has its "trekkies" it deserves the recognition of strange nerdy costumers :D

Thanks JM, some of us are not pros though! We do this for fun (well at least I do) :D Spat, I agree...if there are no air quotes then it is no true turian costume!!

Just found this today. Bioweapons (the people known for the awesome Guyver costumes) are making really kickass male and female n7 suits. It even comes with a tutorial for the curious!! Check it out here, and help them out by buying some old costumes!

Also, here is a video update of Thane, fully painted. Looks so cool :D

Just a quick bump. As I'm sure everyone knows about Holly Conrad's work on her Grunt, Tali, and Shep just remember that G4 is covering SDCC so be on the lookout for her on tv. Because seriously G4 is messed up if they don't get them on camera.

Go Holly!

I'm pretty impressed with the cosplay, myself. Soon enough, whenever I get the money, I'm gonna ask a local cosplay seamstress to make the long scientist-esque coat your Shepard can wear in Mass Effect 2, however, I'm wondering what kind of fabrics to use. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of a combo of pleather and cotton-like fabric.

Image IPB

I already have a few clothing garments in mind to complete it such as a pair of black slacks, knee-high black leather boots, and a turtleneck underneath. But does anyone have any suggestions for the gloves? D:

Yeah, my Shepard's like an older version of myself. :3 My beard's growing out more and more [lol, late bloomer at 19 years old]... So I'm hoping by next February I'll be able to do that. Or at the very least, I'll pose as a younger version of my Shep.

Depends on how form fitting you want it to be. If you don't want it hugging you, try cotton fibers or maybe "bottom weight" fabric. Never use broadcloth! If you're okay with it hugging you then try a stretchy fabric with 4 way knit. I'm sure the person you hire will have lots of suggestions for you :)

Updated the OP with new links and a new costume is being created: Jack!

SD Comic Con is over and Holly, who has been working on the Shepard, Tali, and Grunt costumes, won judges choice! Here is the video of the skit Congrats Holly!

Thanks! Its really hard to find the ME2 costume photos from SDCC. I've only found a handful so far...That Thane is Demifiend, he hasn't updated his C.c account so I don't have a page where there is a collection of his photos :( His mask is beautiful though, and he was really creative on the eye pieces (sunglass lenses!)

I'd love to do a geth costume, a juggernaut to be specific, its a dream costume of mine. Unfortunately I don't have the workshop I used to have access to :( Not to mention I'm sooo underskilled--I think Holly should make an army of them :D
I've actually seen a test video of someones Legion, but its a really really dark video so i can barely make out the frame work.

I cannot remember if I posted this Garrus, but this guy is good. Real good. The armor AND eyepiece glows!

Thanks for the links Ross! The Miranda in black is me :D I just got back from Gencon and I wore it on Saturday. I got to meet someone who worked on the ME2 soundtrack at VGL so I was so stoked to meet him! It made my night :D I unfortunately don't have any other photos right now, but there are costume walk videos on youtube where I'm shuffling around awkwardly :3  If anyone finds more photos, please post them here! I don't usually look for my work so I don't bum myself out.

That Miranda and Garrus are freaking awesome. I've watched the Garrus progress and his work is real pro. The Miranda has the absolute perfect figure and the hexagons look awesome!

Also, for the Jack fans... She did an absolutely amazing job. I love it.
