Yeah probably would be good to go with the alternate costume then. The Alternate costume albeit more family friendly is still very cool. So the tattoos will be airbrushed onto you? Well I guess they would be if you are wearing a transparent body suit. So for Jack's hair style would you actually do your hair like hers or just use some sort of makeup?
The tattoos would be airbrushed onto the suit, but it'll be transparent enough that it will (hopefully) look like they're on my body. I don't know if I'd buzz my head xD; I'm looking into bald caps but I've heard mixed results on how nice/real they look. If I do buzz it I definitely wouldn't buzz it as close and wouldn't shave the designs into whats left of my hair...it grows so slow I'd have to live with that for months.
Right now I'm in my final stages of grad school so I'm pretty much gone on these forums. I'll probably let this thread die unless people find more costumes to post. Right now there are a TON of people discussing ME2 costumes on the cosplay website, so anyone who wants to follow along here is the link otherwise I'm letting this thread die until more costumes get made--sounds like there will be new ones by summer time!

HUGE first post update. Lots of new costumes! I updated ones with actual progress photos. A Garrus, two Talis, a turian design, Saren, and an update on the Thane costume has been added! Also, please cheer on Historian of Hell. She is doing the animatronic Grunt, Shepard and Tali for Comic con and she BETTER get best of show!!

I, personally, will stick to drawing stick-men with my non-existent artistic talents and leave things like this to the professionals. Keep it up!

Well, I did need to update the OP because there are about 5 new costumes to show! 2 more Tali's, a Shep, more of Thane, and an absolutely amazing Samara costume. Check out the op for more details!
I am glad Bioware has its "trekkies" it deserves the recognition of strange nerdy costumers
Thanks JM, some of us are not pros though! We do this for fun (well at least I do)

Yeah, been watching their Youtube videos ever since i discovered your thread here(which was only a few hours ago), so thanks for that. Very interesting stuff and nice job on your work, as well.HMWSGX wrote...
Just a quick bump. As I'm sure everyone knows about Holly Conrad's work on her Grunt, Tali, and Shep just remember that G4 is covering SDCC so be on the lookout for her on tv. Because seriously G4 is messed up if they don't get them on camera.
Go Holly!

I already have a few clothing garments in mind to complete it such as a pair of black slacks, knee-high black leather boots, and a turtleneck underneath. But does anyone have any suggestions for the gloves? D:

Yeah, my Shepard's like an older version of myself. :3 My beard's growing out more and more [lol, late bloomer at 19 years old]... So I'm hoping by next February I'll be able to do that. Or at the very least, I'll pose as a younger version of my Shep.

I'm pretty impressed with the cosplay, myself. Soon enough, whenever I get the money, I'm gonna ask a local cosplay seamstress to make the long scientist-esque coat your Shepard can wear in Mass Effect 2, however, I'm wondering what kind of fabrics to use. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of a combo of pleather and cotton-like fabric.

Depends on how form fitting you want it to be. If you don't want it hugging you, try cotton fibers or maybe "bottom weight" fabric. Never use broadcloth! If you're okay with it hugging you then try a stretchy fabric with 4 way knit. I'm sure the person you hire will have lots of suggestions for you

Could you try a geth one. It would be easier with out legion. Also I saw a picture on gamespot of thane. Here http://www.gamespot.....html?image=361
Thanks! Its really hard to find the ME2 costume photos from SDCC. I've only found a handful so far...That Thane is Demifiend, he hasn't updated his C.c account so I don't have a page where there is a collection of his photos
I'd love to do a geth costume, a juggernaut to be specific, its a dream costume of mine. Unfortunately I don't have the workshop I used to have access to
I've actually seen a test video of someones Legion, but its a really really dark video so i can barely make out the frame work.
I cannot remember if I posted this Garrus, but this guy is good. Real good. The armor AND eyepiece glows!

That Miranda and Garrus are freaking awesome. I've watched the Garrus progress and his work is real pro. The Miranda has the absolute perfect figure and the hexagons look awesome!
Also, for the Jack fans... She did an absolutely amazing job. I love it.
