I'm AMAZED how accurate it is, I'm just really, REALLY hoping that they fix the SR2 patches. If push comes to shove, I can find someone to do the gloves.

I'm not so sure on what fabric they used, but I did ask them to use something like they would do with suits or whatever.

Let me know about the patches if they don't work out; I know someone who has a machine to make patches.

Gladly! You're a hero. :3
Oh, here's what the patches look like. I made it up in Photoshop.

Mods, if you feel I am necroposting and shut down the thread, I understand. I have been a shameful OP
Here are the most recent additions to the OP:
my Aria costume. Made it in 3 weeks for the Pure Speculation Festival in Edmonton. Still need to make the accurate pants for it. I did not make the asari headpiece, I ran out of time and bought one from Satine (shes in the OP, go find her!)
my Shepard Kasumi DLC dress. Made it one day before PureSpec. I need to go back and fix some things, mainly the pendant (made 2 hours before getting on a plane x.x)
A new Liara costume! The makeup application and costume is fabulous, I love it! Headpiece also by Satine.
A new Miranda loyalty costume from NYCC. This costume was made with a bodysuit and then piped fabric paint onto it! Pretty impressive for a first costume, I don't think I'd have such luck doing that technique.
Palaven's Commander Shepard I got to meet Palaven and Quiescent (the turian in the WIP section of the OP) at PureSpec so we got some photos together. It was great to have a little group and take photos
Some costumes in the OP have been updated, such as Quiescent's turian costume and MagentaFox's Miranda costume. Go take a look!
If anyone has found other costumes not in the OP, please post them! (Please, check the OP before posting any)
Tomorrow I start my journey of helping a friend make a full armored Wrex costume. So if the thread doesn't get shut down, I'll try my best to update the progress

Hey, thanks for linking my husband's Tali costume! It's #13. He also made himself a Commander Shepard - since he can't wear the Tali costume (that was me). His male Shepard is here: http://www.cosplay.com/costume/327220/ I didn't see the link on your list, but I could have missed it.

Thanks! I think I accidently skipped it since the costume came after yours. Its in the OP now!
No big update on my krogan costume yet, I got the stilts made but there hasn't been a test video. Its also getting super cold so this is going to be my sewing season.
I did a ninja edit last week and added a mini Shepard someone made for their younger cousin (i think cousin? nephew?) for Halloween, and a Deviant Art costume. I'm never really on dA so if I've missed any I'd love if other forum members would share them!

I've vowed to work on one costume piece a day...but I'm shifting from ME universe to Dragon Age, so I don't have too much to report on new costumes =\\

Don't betray ME for Dragon Age, that Aria costume was unreal.
Thank you! :3 I'm not totally abandoning ME, I have 2 planned (new) Mass Effect costumes and I want to redo my Miranda loyalty for 2011.
I just really want to make costumes for my favorite Bioware games, and I'm bordering on 6 ME costumes now so I'm starting to get burnt out xD I need variation!

He's selling 2 torso n7 armors on ebay, and it looks like hes willing to do custom orders! So if you're not able to make costumes, you can get the best armor from the best armor builder!
See the link above for more info!

anyone found a good tutorial for the Quarion helmets? i've seen pictures of folks that have made them and i can't get anyone to even point me in the right direction of making one. I'm trying to do Kal from ME2 since i'm a dude and i've not found anyone who's tried to tackle it already.
The only place I can think of that would have a definite way of making a helmet would be the 405th with their pepakura files
Here is a thread someone began to make pep files for. I haven't really looked at it since its creation but they might have the files.
There are numerous ways to go about making one. What materials would you like to work with and what is your experience in crafts/costuming? Maybe I can help steer you in the right direction

Oh I agree, investing hundreds to even thousands into a costume can really make the costume come out flawless. Heck, even if you don't invest thousands into a costume and get a really amazing photographer/photo location it will compliment your costume and make it look unbelievable. But, a lot of us here do it for fun
That said, I cannot wait to see Rana (Samara's VA) in her Samara costume, because she is putting a ton of money into hers and getting a lot of professional artists to do the work.
As far as a costume update...I actually got the skeletal frame of my friends krogan armor started. It doesn't look like much so I don't have photos to share, but once it starts fleshing out I'll be sure to update the OP

Danosuke (who made #13a and b in the costume list) is working on a Mordin costume. So far he has the sculpt and I am overjoyed by it
Also added is a MaleShep in n7 armor. It even has the helmet, something you barely see with the armor costumes! It was his second attempt at pepakura, but I think it looks great; I've love an n7 helmet
Still working on the Wrex armor. The weather hasn't been nice enough for me to move onto the progress where the armor gets fleshed out. So I've been sewing up my other costumes for summer. I will, of course, post any progress here
As always, if you see a costume I have not added to the list let me know

And that Mordin mask Danosuke was working on is done and painted. It looks wonderful.
the weather is getting warmer which means I have more opportunities to work on my Wrex. So I promise I'll have WIP photos in the coming months!

Thanks Captain! Hopefully more pictures will pop up
And for those who dislike costumes here is a neato 80s synth style Mass Effect song. If you are working on a Mass Effect costume I strongly suggest a sewing montage with this music. The video even has a Crabcat cosplayers and Kris Sayer in it

Very cool! I haven't seen these two before! I like Shep's expression xD
I know there were a whole bunch of new costumes over PAX East, so I will need to update the OP. I'm a bit sleepy from working on a new asari mold all weekend so I will have to update tomorrow
