I'm part of the "if it doesn't need a ladder, I'll remove it" crowd. Also if I find myself near a ladder between waves I'll take the opportunity to do it then too.
It looks a bit off on many kits but on some it's terrible. I recall that it clips into the Awakened Collector's head, for starters...
