Or shouldn't they use the Inquisitor at all?

(by undefined I mean we can't make it out if it's a man or woman)

If they do use the Inquisitor, no doubt it will be a male human. I would at least like a reversible cover like the one for ME3. But what will all the race options, I don't think the Inquisitor will be on the cover. Which is what I would prefer.

They did awhile ago idk when or who say they were going to do what mass effect did with using both male and female protagonist on the game. The only thing we can all be sure is it will be human :P

They could just avoid it and put the inquisitor symbol or something to that effect.

They should put the rogue in a hood that covers the face so there's just a shadow so it could be either male or female.

It would be cool if we weren't able to identify any details of the Inquisitor- it would add to the whole RPG aspect.

But if they do show the inquisitor...

This would be very nice.

Neither.

Just put something else on it. Maybe an Inquisition symbol.

Like Origins, the box art simply shouldn't feature the protagonist. As simple box art with the Inquisition emblem or something would be perfect.

Why not just use a variation of this:

Looks good to me. And it will keep you politically correct types from getting your knickers in a twist (or so I would hope).

They should use either the Helmet or Morrigan. No need for the Inquisitor, as the Inquisitor could be anything.

Nobody is getting their Knickers in a twist and tbh I agree that the cover should probably just not depict the Inquisitor.

But also it would be nice to see a developer market their game differently from everyone one else.

They do it because it works as far as they know it. They don't do things out of sheer malevolence to ****** off the miriad group of gamers.

They haven't yet, but sooner or later someone is gonna crawl out of the woodwork and claim they've been slighted by Bioware for some completely arbitrary reason or another - likely involving race, gender, or sexuality.

Don't think that's gonna happen, Bub.

The cover will most likely follow origins', since you can be different races now instead of hawke. personally I don't really care much either way.

Wait until Bioware makes a decision either way. They're doomed if they do, and doomed if they don't, if they decide to have a cover with a women on it they'll get acused of pandering to feminists, and if they decide that they'll have a cover of a man they'll be acused of being, unknowingly, misogynistic.

Wow, i was just about to make a thread about this very subject.

I loved the double cover of ME3 with femShep (and femShep forum background).
What's make most of Bioware game unique is their ability to allow the player to live his own story.

It would be awesome if they did multiple cover for DAI to cover all kind of inquisitor or races (not asking 1 of each though) and let the player pick their favorite for the retail.

Also; reguarding Origin, could you think about the possibility to change the Icon of the game for another official icone cover please ?
I would have loved to used the femShep game icone on Origin, and it would be great to have multiple choice for DAI too.

I would lile to see a female rogue for a change. But I suppose it's probably better for everyone if there is no characters at all in the cover.

None. The art on the Keep site, for example, is better than anything they've ever put on a box.

Be brave (they won't, but they should). They don't need to fill up the package with useless people (or vague silhouettes or whatever other nonsense they come up with).
