Hi, I was going to finally play the OC plus expansions of nwn and was wondering which is the best difficult for it or is it personal prefrence?

From when I talked to Bim in the Prelude he said the game was balanced on "Normal" difficulty and that any changes could make it too easy or hard. I'm just wondering if there is a difficulty which makes the game fun and challenging, I'm going to play a pure dwarf fighter who uses a two handed axe.

Thanks for any help.

I suggest Hardcode, not too different from Normal especially since you're playing a fighter. With a bit of practice I suspect normal might start to seem too easy.

The main differences between normal and hardcore:

- Using a potion triggers an attack of opportunity (which is what enemies suffer from)
- Using a ranged weapon in melee triggers an attack of opportunity (which is what enemies suffer from)
- You can be critically hit (which is what enemies suffer from)

Basically, "hardcore" makes fair and equalizes the playing field versus giving you special advantages
