That would go against their nature.
The lesser demons are pretty much chaotic evil, while the higher ones always want what mortal races have, hence their desire to possess.

Demons are what we call fade spirits that reflect negative emotions and traits.

You're not likely to find a benevolent demon.

Oh wow. I would love to be helped by a spirit of charity while in the fade sequence and have the option to screw over the spirit in some way. Maybe kill and absorb the spirit to get an talent point.

Spirits and demons aren't different species. They all choose to embody a certain aspect, so individually, demons are just the douchebags of their people. They're like crime bosses, except with literal blood money.
