So we know after seeing this screenshot that Dagna (the young Dwarf who wanted to be a mage in Origins) will be involved in Inqusition somehow. At the very least it appears as though, given the right circumstances, she'll help the Inqusitor construct something useful to the Inqusition. However, there's a decent chance that she could have even greater involvement than that. 

What do you guys think? What are your hopes and dreams for her character in Inquisition? And what are your speculations?

From the sounds of things you're probably going to have to at least speak to her. I mean in the worse case scenarion, it looks like the set up for this project would go something like:

Inqusitor: Grrr back you beasts!
Dagna: Hey thanks for saving me, here's a fancy new upgrade for your keep, I designed it myself.
Inqusitor: K thnx bye, won't be seeing you again. 

Of course I'd want something more than that, but I'd say there's a pretty good chance you at least speak with her.

Also I heard rumors that she physically appeard in the demo, or did I interpret things incorrectly?

I think the rumors of her appearing were people who heard about this screen cap 2nd hand and misinterpreted.

The way it's written does make it sound like you'll have at least one conversation with her. Hopefully the past 10 years haven't curbed her enthusiasm.

I can still see her being enthusiastic, but wiser about it. I think her inital desire to study magic, just for the sake of studying magic, may have evolved into a more specific goal, such as inventing some grand device, or finding a solution to any number of problems that currently plague the Mages (and/or Dwarves) of the Dragon Age universe. A girl with her intellect and drive could be useful in quite a lot of ways.

I can get behind that. As I said in the Dwarf Thread, she has his enthusiasm, motor mouth, and lust for knowledge already, all she needed was his wordly experience, something I'm certain the past ten years would have provided her with.

Why not? I mean the two of them were at completely different stages in life when we first met them, Dagna was just beginning hers, and Mordin was at the end of his. The two don't seem so different that Dagna couldn't develope in a Mordin like character given time, which she's had quite a lot of since Origins.

Bioware's not generally inclinced to reuse names like that unless it's significant. They recycled "Amell" specifically as a nifty easter egg for those who caught it. 

Dagna's a bit of an unusual name for it to not be the same character, or at least related to the character.

Really? I searched the first 5 or so pages of the site, and did a google search before posting, and I didn't turn up anything that wasn't already pretty outdated. If I'd found one I'd have jumped in on that one instead.

Thanks for this awesome information, it's great to hear about Dagna again. It would be awesome if she could be one of the Inquisitor's agents in DAI, and then in the next game be an actual party member, as the first Dwarf Mage (not counting Sandal) . I definitely want her to find that cure, even if it only works on herself .

A cure for Dwarves not having Magic... I dunno if that's a disease, but I think investigating why that is the case might open up some doors for find alternatives to tranquility.

She could also probably be a companion in this game, though not necessarily as a Mage. Dwarves can still operate Magical devices, and as a smith and magical experty she'd probably be quite capable with them. I can see a speciality class, or some specialization of the rogue class made up for her, though this would point to her being a DLC character more than anything.

What do you guys think of having Dagna as a Non-companion LI, sort of like Traynor and Cortez in ME3?
