because i've been reading here and there and it seems people give more importance to romances than gameplay mechanics such as battles, powers and other stuff.
Why?

I think Relationships not only romance Relationships like romance friendship, , and even hatred is an important part of what makes us human and when i am watching anime or playing a game without romance I do not feel like They are real characters

I think one of the reasons it's so popular is that it's one of the only ways to establish your character's private personality and actually add some detail to your character's life besides being Savior of Everyone. Non-story-essential choice, we need more of it!
