I thought gays didn't like to be called queer?

Apparently that has changed since I see gay users using that term constantly in this forum now.

Is this the point of this thread?
What exactly IS the point of this thread? Again, it's an argument between two groups of people who aren't going to see eye to eye, so why is it even worth arguing.
Bottom line: Romances are in DA: I. Period.

it's a fairly new blanket term for anything outside of heterosexuality. and yes it is technically a reclaimed slur.

That's weird. I remember back in the 90s it was almost as bad as saying the burning stick one.
How very odd.

the community and language around it has changed a lot in that 20ish years.

I'm fine with the game having romances. It adds to the flavor of the game. BW games wouldn't be the same without them. Looking forward to the ones in the next game.
Word. I am not the biggest fans of romances myself, but I am able to understand why others like it. FOr the most part I enjoy them, but others more than me. Others less than me.
So my answer would be "People care precisely the amount about romances that is appropriate for themselves."
Given the copious amounts of posting I saw BEFORE finally coming to your post, however, I am totally locking this beast down.

No it's not. Don't you recall a certain word starting with N that would be considered very disrespectful for anyone not black to say?

I do like romances but i care waaay more about deep characters. In DA2 the characters felt very shallow and it actually started getting very annoying how Mike Laidlaw was all "Oh yeah isabela has so many layers" pft, yeah right. Shes as deep as a toilet bowl and is filled with just as many STD's.
