What would the Mahariel have thought of Merril and Hawke?(possible spoilers)

Killing the entire clan?

I wonder if Lyna or Theron would have sought revenge? I mean even though they become Grey Wardens, they are still Dalish and for Merril to kill the Keeper, and presumbly the entire clan including the woman who practically raised Mahariel, I would think they'd be rather cross.

Would the Warden be out for vengeance? It's possible. It's also possible that the Warden, upon hearing of the destruction of the clan and Merrill's potential role, would seek out Merrill to ask her some questions before immediately jumping into revenge mode. And upon hearing more of the facts, maybe the Warden would simply walk away feeling heartbroken.

They were friends, after all, and you could argue that the destruction of the clan is as much the fault of Marethari as it is Merrill's.

If the Warden can forgive Teryn Loghain for his deliberate crimes, then why not Merrill's unintentional ones?

I like to think my Warden sought out revenge. Or, at least something, anyway.

Not sure how she'd even figure out that this is all Merrill's doing, though. Unless Merrill found her and owned up to it herself.

My Dalish was the more thoughtful type, always seeking answers and trying to give everyone a second chance (she even let Jowan go into the fade to rescue Connor). She'd have wanted some explanations what happened before busting skulls. Hard to muster up anger, though I know the option exists to kill the tribe, I never took it except on my very first run just to see, and decided to keep it. (I usually chose the special answers whenever they popped up).

Well, Merrill and Hawke can kill the Sabrae clan in self-defense, since the clan attempts to kill them in cold blood. I'm not sure they kill the entire clan (game mechanics side; I doubt the children and other possible by-standers would try to kill Merrill and Hawke simply because the Plot said so).

Perhaps Mahariel might blame Marethari for putting everything into motion that lead to the demise of the Sabare clan, rather than Merrill. I can imagine that Marethari becoming an abomination by falling prey to Audacity's machinations might make the Dalish protagonist sad about the fate that befell her former Keeper.
